Yeah a restructure would absolutely be needed but I think the upside is there.
His time with the Rams scares me but Tavon Austin and Brian Quick were his top receivers.
If Fitzy really isn't coming back Foles comes cheaper than trading for Hoyer and Glennon.

Maybe compared to guys like Rodgers, Brees, Brady etc etc..but in that case then QB's like Keenum are 5th rate.

Like him or not , Fitz is a starting QB in the league. If that isnt here, it will be somewhere else. Wherever he signs he wont be competing for that job.

That really has nothing to do with my comment, but ok.

Any team that signs him for the 16mil per year that he's asking if out of their minds. And thats the only reason he hasnt been signed yet.

Still doesnt mean he isnt a decent enough QB. And also doesnt mean that he's great.

There is some middle ground in this world ya know.

Ok... What has he done in his career to make him a decent QB? A lot of playoffs wins? A good winning record? What? I would like to know?

Setting a franchise record for passing TDs in a season is a start. Also how many QBs have led this franchise to 10 win seasons?

I think you're forgetting your a Jet fan. If you're hoping for an elite QB you might be waiting 40 years.

Bottom line is Fitz gives us the best chance to win next season and that's all anyone should care about. We're not a team in transition that can hand the keys over to rookie QB and were also not a team that would benefit from a stopgap like Keenum coming in and at best going 8-8.

It would be nice if the Jets just once (since Namath or Favre at least) pay the piper and attempt to get a real QB. They will never ever win anything without one.

Oh wow he throws 31 TD's and wins 10 games. But when he needed most he chokes. Just like he done his whole career. I'm sorry 10 wins don't mean shit to me if you don't make the playoffs.

One game doesn't completely discount all the good he did throughout the season. I mean c'mon you must have seen all of Geno and Samchez's seasons, every one of them were worse than what Fitz did last year by a large margin. What would you propose we do if we didn't sign Fitz? Who is our QB game 1?

Sure, let's just take a trip to the "real QB" tree and pay for one to be delivered
