    Gotta look at it like drafting Clady in the 5th. Will you get someone that can start for the next 2-3 years in the 5th? I prefer youth as well since our line is old but I definitely get Macc's line of thinking.

    @AlbertBreer
    Jets' offer to Beachum was same structure as what he got in Jax: 1-year, with multi-year option. Fair to assume Clady's NYJ deal is similar.

    My only issue is that I hope this doesn't let them feel like they don't have to draft OL early.

    What's the cap hit? That's the million dollar question. If it's reasonable, I like the deal. I was opposed to it in my thread because I was expecting Denver to require a mid round pick and I didn't know what the cap hit would be.

    If healthy, one of the best LT in the league. Problem is he hasn't been healthy that often the last 3 years.

    Missed last year and all but 2 games in 2013, however he played 16 games per 5 seasons and was 2xAll Pro. I'll take the risk he can get back to 90% of the level he was at pre-injury.

    not true, played 16 game in 2014 and went to Pro Bowl. The risk-reward on this trade is really high... And if he is not ready to go play Ijalana who has been 4 years on this team and is obviously considered good enough to be kept as insurance (he was also a 2nd rounder).

    On nfl network they said he restructured and will make less than what brick was earning. I only know that, because they said in the end we're saving a few million.

    So my guess is around 7 million.

    Yea what about 2013 and 2015? Played 2 games total in those two years. You can't ignore that because of a healthy 2014.

    If he's healthy, he's elite. Think Brick at his absolute best. If he's hurt, he's useless. So I still recommend signing a cheap LT or drafting one in Rounds 1 or 2.

    Jeremy Kerley was a 5th rounder. He was decent for a while.
