So how far behind is Mangold? What do we get, another year? Maybe 2? Time to rebuild the entire line. Fuck. _
Brick truly lived up to his name a solid corner stone slash brick of our line we will miss him dearly ... I can say I shed a tear today as he was one of our standout remarkable players ho gave it his all and decided to step down once he realized his skills started to diminish and didn't want to hinder the team going forward ... not to mention the huge cap relief he gives us and gave us over the years ... with so many LT busts over the years drafted in the top 5 who were gonna change franchises forever it was pretty refreshing watching our guy dominate for 10 years ! good luck in life after football !
Probably just this one. And who is going to want to play QB for the Jets without a LT and center that know what they are doing..oh, I know, Geno!
I met his parents before his first ever pre season game with us against Tampa. Extremely nice and humble people. What a great 10 years of stability he gave us at a position other teams scramble to fill.
if you think it did play a role then why did you just argue so adamately and kinda attack the irish guy for pages that it didnt. lol. you are one crazy dude
Yes, there's now a gaping hole at left tackle. But the team is left with a bigger need at "Guy Who Leads 'And the Home of the JETS' Chant in the Locker Room Following Wins"
Im thinking it was atleast 60 percent of the reason why he retired. To go from 14 mil to 6 mil to play when you are 32 and already have a decent amount of money in all likelihood , I would consider retiring too. But I def wouldnt make up that choice by watching a movie on concussions. And every scenario has us trading Mo for some type of 1st rounder. Oakland, Chicago and Philly have all been rumored teams and nothing I've ever seen has us giving up our pick as well. Wouldnt make any sense to do that. The only thing stopping a trade is Mo's eventual contract.
I don't think this is catching the Jets off guard, We'll see how they react When the dust settles, he's got to be given his due...a great Jet certain Ring of Honor candidate. At least their 2nd greatest LT (behind Hill) if not #1 160 consecutive games, if I am correct
That's not what's happening here. The Irish guy said "it all happened because" of the paycut request. I'm saying it didn't.
I wanted a paycut not retirement. O well wish he did it sooner in FA so we would have had a chance to sign a replacement. Look for us to be drafting a tackle in the first
