End of game, his team is in the playoffs, game means nearly nothing and Boyle's taking a run at Girardi. From behind, near the boards. Is the NHL going to do anything about this or is this another play they'll let go?
Pat Leonard @PLeonardNYDN 7h7 hours ago Manhattan, NY Vigneault said trainers nodded yes when asked if Girardi was "alright," but he'll be reevaluated. Hard to know how he'll feel tomorrow
He's had a forgettable season (watch Boil suck every night worse), we need him for the playoffs, personally hit didn't seem that dirty, Boyle's not a dirty player, I wish we still had him
Dumb hit, but Pierre (the Crosby lover) made it sound like he murdered him, he hit him shoulder to shoulder....Glass does try hard every game , he's one of the few that does
Girardi has sucked since the Finals vs LA where he couldn't clear the zone to save his life and we got killed
Looking forward to a potential Round 1 Match-Up with the Penguins, I think the Rangers need to punch them in the mouth. No team seems to be doing that. You do that to Sid and his game instantly stops. Need to be physical and of course Lundqvist has at a top level we have become used to and the Rangers can win the series despite the Penguins hot streak.
Don't be fooled by their hot streak, the checking is much tighter in the playoffs and they will struggle for goals, Rangers have a very good chance at kicking their ass
Criticism should be relative. If Girardi's struggling, how do you think two rookies with no experience and Boyle who's been worse than Girardi are going to do? Thats not to mention Kevin Klein's struggles since he's been moved up to the top pair. He's been unable to handle that role defensively. I thought Girardi and Staal would be the key to this team in the playoffs. If they are doing their jobs, which hasn't always been the case in recent seasons, we are really hard to beat. Sometimes they have, sometimes they haven't. Both of their games have been coming around the last few games, which is a good sign. An injury to Girardi is another blow to our playoff chances.
Blueshirt Bulletin @NYRBlueBulletin 16h16 hours ago Important note: Dylan McIlrath a +2 (led defense); But #NYR only utilized him for 12:31 in his first game in a while. Nice job AV
The Garden Faithful @GardenFaithful 16h16 hours ago So optimal season finale would be a win Thursday in OT, lose Saturday and Isles win both on weekend. We get Panthers and they get Penguins!
you guys are begging to play the Panthers huh? be careful what you wish for. If McD is out, we are in big trouble. Im also wondering what Hackett thinks of Stepan these days...hes been our best player for a couple months now
I can't believe anyone actually wants to play the Penguins right now. I know Fleury is out, but they are just decimating opponents right now.
No!! He plays small man hockey, if he were ever to decide that he will develope a mean streak, he could probably be one of the top 3 players in the league.
Makes me wonder if they look into possibly dealing Malkin in the offseason. They could always use the cap relief and he really hasnt had a superstar-like season in 5 years and hasnt played 70 games in either of the last 4.
Only reason Ranger fans should want to play Florida is they wouldn't play one true road game the entire series. The few Panthers fans there are , are great. But that arena in Florida would be half blue.
