That's all it is at this point. Rehashing the same nonsense.

Dumb people want to prop up a dumb QB so it will make them feel better about themselves.

Dumb QBs cannot ultimately win consistently in the NFL.

Surround them with talent, build a line, put in a system that can hide their flaws and stupidity, get another win or two so that dumb people can say "see, I told you, let give he one MOR shot" and ultimately prolong the losing and misery for the fan base.

No. In order to win consistently in the NFL you need a QB with a high football IQ.

Not a fucking moron. Propping up a moron just prolongs the failure.

its one thing when you are a dick rider with a player who is actually good, but to be such dick riders for a guy who really has shown he has no business in the league is just absurd.

is our team the only one that does this? you would think jets fans would have learned from the Sancho debacle that being a complete jock jockey for a guy who sucks doesn't make him better.

its as if its all a joke to troll the board as much as possible.

Yet you'll have Geno fans clamoring to give him just one more shot with more talent and a system that hides his flaws.

As if that will (i) make him smart and (ii) make us a consistent winner.

    He's a dope.

You don't build around dopes at the QB position.

he is what he is. im not going to sit here and shit on him because there are a few guys on the board that are so in love with him that they will say or do anything to be right.

its fanatical idiocy. and its rampant with some folks. I cant grasp why even when every single bit of evidence points in one direction that they will still sit there and think they know better than every other person in the world, most specifically the front office and coaches. its complete idiocy.

Fitz had 562 attempts to Geno's 367. And 6.9 yds/attempt to Geno's 6.3. But by all means keep trying.

no, it wasnt the reason he was cut. there are 0 benefits to cutting a player still on his rookie scale contract after 2 seasons. especially a QB. its not like cap wise it helps. and you dont see teams just cutting guys in that situation.

its pretty much unfathomable to think that his play at all was a factor in his release. it was 10000% off field issues

I can't speak for anyone else but I don't love Geno. Alot on here think just because you would like to see what Geno can do in this system with this talent makes us in love? In Terry Bradsaws first few years he was called dumb and doesn't have a clue. How his HOF career end up? Now with that said I'm not saying Geno will end up in the HOF. In fact I have never said Geno is the answer but Fitz isn't either. He turns the ball over a lot and chokes in the big game.

No one has ever suggested Petty is dumb. Not in college, not in the draft process, not in his first year with the Jets.

And he is far from an asshole.

    Seems like a nice chap.

Were you happy when Macc signed Forte, Powell, Robinson, McLendon, Jenkins, Henderson, and Carter for less than the price of Ivory, Harrison, and Davis?

    Yes.

i wasnt super high on bringing in forte, since i dont really value the RB position super high and he is another older guy, but for the cost, and for his ability as a pass catcher i liked the move.

i hvae no problem letting ivory go, as mentioned i think you can plug in a platoon and replace guys at HB easy. plus ivory didnt stay healthy. davis isnt someone i will miss at all. and while i LOVED snacks, im not ready to pay a DT 10+ million, i thought our rumored offer at 8 million was about right.

i liked everyone of those moves with the exception of forte which im fine with. and im fine letting those other guys walk based on what they ended up signing for

I agree. Have you considered that part of the reason all those guys came for relatively cheap was that we went 10-6 and not 6-10?

When did he look promising because we must have been watching a different raiders jets game. Because he looked like a moron holding onto the ball making stupid choices. You know typical geno plays

Remember when the Jets sign a old LT? That turned out good and I think Forte could turn out even better.

He looked like someone who had no rhythm with the guys he was playing with. Even despite not practicing with those guys all season, he still finished the game 265 yards, 64.3% completions, 2 TDs, 1 INT, and 2 rushes for 34 yards which isn't bad. You know who played like ass that game? Chris Ivory (17 yards on 15 rushes). Our entire defense who let Latavius Murray rush for 113 yards and Carr throw FOUR damn touchdowns. Our coach who badly screwed up time management.

But yea, let one of the only good players that game take the heat for the loss because he didn't throw 500 yards and 7 TDs.

Go back and watch the fourth quarter.

He looked good, until he didn't.
