    Then why say? He ready to rise and be the starter? Why wouldn't he say Geno still not ready and the Jets need to look elsewhere?

    How many times has Fitz been in the playoffs? Yes Geno hasn't made it either but he only been in NFL 3 years to Fitz 11. I don't care about stats. I'm all about wins.

    He said IF Fitzpatrick leaves, Geno ready to be the starter. That means Geno not ready to be starter over 34 year old journeyman, but ready enough to not ruin Petty by throwing him in to early.

    Willie's a good guy. And he'll fight for his mates. That's what this is about.

    When Geno ostracized himself from the team, Willie was that guy that wouldn't let that happen and said the same thing last year. It doesn't mean shit as far as Geno starting otherwise

    Who cares about any of this,Colon said if Fitz isn't here Geno would be ready to start.Meaning if you have no other options in the entire world at QB Geno "might" be able to start.He didn't say "Geno gives the Jets the best chance to win",Get over it Geno is awful and so is his stupid name,what kind of name is Geno?Other then the name of a bust draft pick that plays for the Jets

    Maybe Geno plays well in big games. But sadly we'll never know because he's so bad so often the Jets can't get into a meaningful game with him.
