Was he really STs Coach of the Year 2x? I had never heard of him before, but another poster in an earlier thread claimed that his STs were always among the league's worst. The two don't jive.

He had a good first year and seems like he knows what he is doing, that doesn't shield him from not so witty one liners
I've heard Bowles talk about the new guy we hired (he knew him well having coached him in Cleveland) and on top of the usual things (super-smart, bla bla bla) he seemed really keen on highlighting how much of a high-energy guy he was. That to me seemed to be the biggest difference from April... I know all of us Jets fans were used to having Westhoff around but last year I kept thinking this guy looked so damn soft! Possibly he didn't command a lot of respect from the players?
Who cares? All we need to know is that he didn't meet expectations for the team and fans. He was fired for those reasons. Anything else is just details to me, the reason and neccessity has already been revealed.
