I'm curious why there is a special mention about off-duty cops? If they are off duty, aren't they just 2 guys getting into a bar brawl? So if a guy grabs my wife's ass in a bar, before hitting him I gotta make sure it's not an off-duty cop else I just assaulted an officer?
Well, that's fucked up. It's no problem though - all cops are the model of proper behavior and judgement, on and off duty. So our asses and those of our spouses are safe
No way... This is setting a bad precedent of like entrapment. An off duty cop could essentially start something and then if the person retaliates, he goes to jail and the cop gets off scot free. Anyways, professions should be irrelevant in this situation. Shouldn't matter that LeSean is a NFL player, and shouldn't matter that those guys were cops. None of them were working when this happened. Seems like a stupid drunken brawl over a bottle. I doubt either party is innocent in all of this. A bar fight typically involves two parties.
