I disagree, but I know exactly what you are talking about because as my friends I joked about it I pointed out that the ball touches the ground, which doesn't make it incomplete, and then changes direction as he rolls onto his back, and that would be why they called it incomplete. But it certainly wasn't jostled at that point and never left his control. That was a catch. It moved because it was up against his body that was moving around.
touching the ground doesn't make it incomplete, though. It was clearly in his possession when it touched the ground, and didn't show any semblance of moving until he was rolling over.
For two weeks the pundits sucked Cam's dick about how great he was and pointing to the throw against Arizona for the 80 yard TD off his back foot. The last thing you want a QB doing is throwing off his back foot. Jamarcus Russell did that all day and scked because it's lazy mechanics. Just because Cam made some completions off his back foot doesn't mean you applaud it, it's a cause for concern. and watch the first couple of possessions for Carolina this game where he was missing open guys; why? he was throwing off his back foot. It's undisciplined and it's lazy and when up against an elite defense he not only couldn't get away with that but couldn't correct it. that being said, the Panthers OC called a terrible game. why the hell did they keep running it on first down when they weren't getting anything? They didn't know what to do being in a close game or how to adjust to a team that was shutting everything down
One of the best superbowls I thought. Just great football on the defensive side of the ball against very good offenses.
I like Cam and always thought he was gonna be great...but I'm glad we can delay the coronation for a few years. Maybe that says more about the sports media than Cam.
I think your understanding of the word "clearly" differs from most others understanding. That may have been a catch. You think so. It may not have been a catch. I don't think it was. But there was nothing "clearly" about it. That the NFL agreed is not dispositive but when a guy jostles a ball, it hits the ground, it rolls around his body and he never secures it with two hands or a hand and a leg or a hand leg and torso, it is not "clearly" a catch. _
It's funny when folks say "I don't like this dude" and they call them racist. I don't like this dude because he's a douchebag. Black white red yellow doesn't matter. That guys is simply a douchebag. He was a douchebag coming out of HS, he was a douchebag at Florida, he was a douchebag looking for another school when he got kicked out of Florida (him and his Dad) and he's been an arrogant douchebag since he's been in the league. Not because he's black. Because he's a douchebag. _
Spot on love him as a player but glad we can put all this nonsense to bed. He is not the Jordan of football and he is a jerk off.
Not defending, but how do you answer idiotic questions like "can you put into words the frustration you're feeling right now?" That's just lazy journalism. I hope this will humbles him a bit, God knows he can use some humbling.
I'd probably give him a little more of a break on the postgame stuff if he didn't also go diva-ish DURING the game and not jump on a key fumble.
Yeah, I was bungled by this. Cam had clear shot at that ball, but for some reason turned away. IDK wtf he was thinking. "Not my job?"
Cam was very douchey tonight. I thought maybe he had gotten past it, but turns out we only see it when he loses. I was wrong.
That's the issue right there. He's got to get over that whole phony douche persona. He's got a mountain to climb. _
Disagree. He never jostles it once it's in his possession as he's going to the ground. The earth is clearly round; just because some people belong to the flat earth society doesn't make the earth any less clearly round.
