Advanced Thread Demolition III. Should be good for 10 credits and a honorary degree.

thank each and every one of you for this thread of gold.

the regular season is becoming more pointless every year. its become tournament football with a 17 week warm up. just like everything else. but thats another thread.

No, that's this thread. Post season or bust is a legit attitude at times. Those times are when your team has all the pieces in place. That was not the case for this team this season. If you can't enjoy watching the team play better than expected then your fandom is way over the top too FAN-atical, IMHO :)

There are different levels and kinds of meaning. Regardless of the outcome of a season, which of course concerns ONE kind of meaning, how about when the Jets win games?

If you don't like to watch the Jets play a game and win it, then you perhaps are a VLT Trophy fan, but not a football fan. The sport is played one game at a time.

This was a good day. 8 prior years? Failure. Next 47 years? Failure.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

i enjoyed this season more than any season in probably 18 years. it was a ton of fun to watch this team, even though they didnt make the playoffs.

i was commenting that the league itself has expanded the playoffs and we always hear about them expanding it further to the point where its not even strange to have an under .500 team anymore. that when there are 12 maybe 14 teams soon teams making the playoffs out of 32 total that the regular season starts to not matter. when you have teams that did not play well in the regular season get hot and win it more than every once in awhile it begins to become what all the rest of the world has become. nba, nobody cares about winning a division. its all about getting int eh playoffs and what seed you are. even high school football in my shit state, a conference championship doesnt matter, hell they dont even play conference championship games. its all about having 8 teams in states and tournamenting it out.

they were talking about it in baseball the other day on the radio. and its true. back in the day you had to win something to go on. now you have to do better than half hte teams to get in. we are losing the urgency about each game. where its just a matter of get in and then the games really start.

So positives should be ignored because we didn't win the SB this year? It goes without saying that the end goal is the SB, but there are steps that some teams need to take in order to get there.

If we had an nfl punter we would have been in the playoffs.
