You got me (kinda). Those posts were all made before the season started and are taken out of context. I will revise my remarks to say that often, when I say someone "sucks" what I really mean is that they are not above average. I make a clear distinction between "sucks" (below average - Fitzpatrick) and "sucks" (worst starting QB in the league - Geno, Sanchez). That's how you get a statement like "Fitzpatrick (who also sucks - but is at least competent)"; that should be obvious by the context. I will also say that, during the course of the season, Fitzpatrick greatly exceeded my expectations and I'd probably be willing to say he's an average starting NFL QB (not below average). Let's look at the remainder of my comments (that were left out) ... May 5, 2015: I do like most of the other things he's done, however. I think Fitzpatrick was just about the best option he had available to him to upgrade at QB. I liked the Marshall move. I like that he took Leonard Williams in the draft. I liked the draft trades (including Stacy). I like that he fired our entire personnel department. May 24, 2015: No, I think both Smith and Fitzpatrick suck; Geno being one of the worst starting QBs in the league and Fitzpatrick simply being way below average. May 25, 2015: By comparison, Fitzpatrick (who also sucks - but is at least competent) surpassed a 90 rating five times last year in 12 games. He also had an above average QB rating last year (95). May 26, 2015: Likewise, right now, I want Fitzpatrick to be the starter for the team and for the team to try to compete. If Fitzpatrick turns out to be awful (which could happen), I want Petty to play. Any snap Geno is on the field is a waste of time. August 10, 2015: He very well might have been the best QB available this offseason ------- But enough about what I said 8 months ago (before training camp), what have I said about Fitzpatrick recently? ... December 6, 2015: This team is bad ... we just look better than we did the last couple years because, unlike Sanchez and Geno, Fitzpatrick is a competent NFL QB (not good, but competent) and he doesn't singlehandedly piss games away on a regular basis. That may sound like im knocking Fitz, but I'm not. I'm delighted with "competent" - it's nice to not have three or four games a year where you can turn the TV off after the first quarter because you know "Geno is being Geno" and the team has no chance whatsoever. ---------- I stand by my comments.
I actually feel sorry for Bill's fans. They just added another ring to the circus act. What a shame - making a mockery of the game.
I jokingly said this would happen when Rob Ryan was fired. Rex has shown time and again he's more loyal than smart.
I predict a full implosion. No way these guys will get along through the hard times. Rob failed so miserably at NO I dont see him turning it around at Buffalo. Does Mario Williams stay?
Lmao It's funny as hell reading the bills forum right now. When Rex was hired, they were going nuts about it. Saying how much they love the signing and how he was dealt a horrible card in New York. Now, they are going crazy. Calling themselves a circus and that Rex is single handedly destroying that franchise. Hahaha!!! Gotta love Bills fans. Can't say we didn't tell you so
