The first thing is the QB....dreadful. The other, imo, is we weren't the same when we played them. That's when when lost the WC, in that losing streak.
We fell short. I don't really blame anyone. We started pounding Ivory and did well. Teams adjusted and we weren't good enough in the passing game to counter it at that time. As the season progressed they were able to start incorporating Enunwa, Thompkins, and Powell, and we started winning again. A deeper roster could only help that next year
KC's 12 wins this year include 4 over teams with a winning record (whatever you might think of Houston, they were 9-6 against the rest of the NFL); the Jets' 10 wins included 2 over teams with a winning record. Against common opponents the Jets were 1-4, the Chiefs were 6-0. Holding KC's schedule against them doesn't really hold water.
I think it had more to do with JJ Watts groin injury. Plus Houston's offense looks like a joke. Hoyer can't complete a pass without it hitting the ground, and when the passes were decent, the receivers drop them.
The Jets lost to Rex Ryan twice and this PATHETIC excuse for a playoff team Texans, so maybe they did not actually belong in the playoffs this year. Shame.
Ironically the Chiefs had a 1-5 streak that could have knocked them out of the playoffs, instead they won every game they had to and they made the playoffs. The jets had a great opportunity to make the playoffs by beating an injured bills team and continue their winning streak, that's where in my opinion, they lost their chance to make the playoffs.
Yeah... Kinda like when Fitz had his surgery. Going to Geno was not an option..We were certainly luckier than the Texans.
Well yes their sched was tough I get it. But tonight it wasnt much competion for them. All iam saying is if we played Chiefs it might have been alot more competitive
As a Mod pointed out to me in another thread, had the Jets swept the Bills this year instead of vice versa, Jets win the division via the the breaker
