Frankly I know we are spending money, cutting players we dont need, and prob getting all the stuff we need : Olb, edge rusher, punter etc If you asked me 2 weeks ago, we had some direction. Now I dunno. SMH Sorry but this last game brought me and a few others down to earth
My honest feelings are i'm upset. i drove home from Buffalo seriously let down with my two Bills friends chirping in my ear. But Bowles showed enough in the second half of games for me to at least have hope that the first halfs were rookie mistakes and he will improve. Look at the AFC North. The Bengals are a perennial playoff team and the Steelers/Ravens have recent Super bowl wins. All three of these teams haven't switched coaches in like a decade. The browns in that same time have had 9. I'm not calling Bowles the savior and i am not calling for his head after his rookie year. he has set high expectations for himself in year two. Let's not put up billboards just yet.
Bowles is Dungeyesk but not TDungy Hes more a Marvin Lewis..yeah ok Ok so we are keeping Bowles for decade...hmmm Better he be in a ticker tape parade sooner not later
I'm not saying keep him a decade. I'm Saying teams that aren't switching coaches every year or two tend to be more successful. This does however require him to prove himself over the first couple years. And a parade in the next two years would be fantastic
Agreed. I dont believe in a coaching carosel i just believe in results. There are games we should not have lost this year. Given our level of talent Who is coaching the Coach?. Sounds like , looks like he needs it
Well that sucked. Took a few days before i visit here again. That was a turd game especially seeing it live. I blame all the obnoxious jets fans that were there. Karma.
Lol Bad Karma lasting 47 years Can't take too much more of this aggravation . Who can?? Giants: two or three SB . Maybe Chan should be the HC At least he has more experience. Bowles is being a novice while we watch from the sidelines. Meanwhile they throw millions at players like its candy. Some return on investment? A record setting season but like I posted before all that does is pad someone's resume. It's all a racket imo
well the problem is we dont draft very well. and when you dont draft well that product is reflected on the field. it all starts with the draft. we need to start hitting more frequently.
Yep On positive note we do have Mac His draft was an A in my opinion His free agents also an A Who has not panned out? Devin Smith? That's it I think Management is everything Well imo he is managing better than the CS coaching
The annoying part is that the Bills game shouldn't have been to get in the playoffs. The Jets are just cursed being 10-6 wasn't good enough for them but 5 teams with the same or worse record are in the playoffs.I think we overlooked the Bills
Since Super Bowl III there's only four other teams who haven't made it to the Super Bowl. And three are relatively new teams (Hou, Jax, Clev) So for "established" franchises it's just us and those lowly Lions of Detroit So SOJ is a real thing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Who overlooked the Bills? The fans didn't Plus you can't worry about other teams. Ya gotta focus The CS did not have them ready for a team that beat you already? Unbelievable inconsistency there. They looked ready for vacation imo The whole team knew win and in. They were out played and out coached They stunk it up ..both CS and players. This is what makes me really sick Sorry..if this is a pattern with Bowles/Gailey I don't care if Tom C is 100(so was Amos a Stagg) hire that man please
Lol you think I'm basing it solely on Rex? I've been watching for decades. How about the days of coslet, handly, herm, that other fucktard parcells left behind...can't remember his name. Ritchie motherfucking kotite. So yeah, I'm basing my opinion on far more than rex. Sent from my HTC6515LVW using Tapatalk
As much as the game hurt I was happy with the season ... maybe because I've been molded to expect mediocrity ... who knows. like a poster said coming off of last year every single one of us would have singed up for a 10 win team... did we make the playoffs, no but I still think this was a step in the right direction. we had hope coming into the last week of the season and that was far better than most of the past few seasons. TB has a lot to learn yes but so much of the crap we were dealing with when Rex was coaching has been a thing of the past... yes he beat us twice but he was our coach for 6 years and he does know a lot of the ins and outs of the team so that gave him an edge over a rookie HC. I expect us to get better with another year under the belts of our HC and GM could we regress sure but for now I'll remain optimistic.
Billy B: During his tenure in Cleveland he compiled a 36–44 record Pete Carroll: His combined NFL record as a head coach was 33–31 upon returning to USC. Again as i have said very clearly "I am not anointing Bowles the savior, but it's insane to run him out of town for going 10-6 as a rookie HC." Both of the above coaches wore Jets green and both have Rings on their finger. Let's at least wait 2 years before we pull out the pitchforks and light the torches.
Billy b wasn't the fucktard I was referring to. Pete took decades and a different franchise. That is my point. Its the jets franchise that is the problem. Sent from my HTC6515LVW using Tapatalk
I think the fans totally overlooked the Bills. And it cost us that game and a slot in the playoffs. "Oh, we're going to kill them , we strike first and they're going to go in a shell, Rex has lost that team blahblahblah." We as fans have to do a better job focusing next year, we have to stop looking ahead. We bit ourselves in the ass and now we're watching some other fans' team play. I bet Pittsburgh's fans weren't looking ahead. And see where that got them. _
Not I, no overlooking I expected us to put the pedal down and beat this team....we had EVERYTHING to play for: Win and In I was really uptight bout it too....then the first half happened and 1/3/16 became a dark day for me
