We ruined our own season,Don't give Rex that much credit. He will be out of the league in two years anyway
Woody won't give 2 shits unfortunately. I like Bowles. I think he did a good job with this squad. Learning curve for him as a first-year HC and another go at it this year with most of this team returning as is, I think he'll have success again.
Irks me to no end how he gave him such a cushion and no adjustments were made to give Revis the help he clearly needed.
Revis was intimidated by his speed/quickness and that led to him being to scared of being burned over the top.. This led to him giving up a huge cushion and Watkins taking full advantage
They're being called the Same Old Jets because that's exactly what they are. If you read the earlier thread "Are we the same ole Jets?" you'd see it's not about the won/lost record but the overall philosophy and attitude around the team. There's nothing "pathetic" about calling a spade a spade - in fact many think it's pathetic for the apologists to try to rationalize the business as usual attitude when nobody's taking care of business. Here's what I wrote in that other thread two weeks ago and it's eerily prophetic but not at all surprising if you've been a fan as long as many of us have: "It's not so much the won/lost record that has carved the "Same Old Jets" mantra in stone, it's how the team wins and loses, and who they beat or lose to. Winning ugly has been in the DNA of this team for decades and so are the spectacular wins like the Monday Night Miracle. Of course that never would have happened if the "Same Old Jets" didn't play the first half of that game. Also in the DNA are the fourth quarter collapses and getting shellacked by the dregs of the league. The only SOJ component missing this year has been the frequency of mind-numbing bonehead plays we've come to expect. Any long term fan has never been comfortable in a close game until the clock has spit out the final "0:00" because they've seen all too many times a guy in green give a game away." That's the "Same Old Jets." Ralebird, Dec 22, 2015 Edit Report You can be an apologist if you want, but you'll survive better here dealing with reality. Sometimes the baby is indeed ugly and there's no reason to ignore that.
fuck you you get the point i did not know you were the boards appointed ass clown of grammar. Did I spell that right. I wish if you had an opinion you would have kept it to yourself. Here I'll save you time ignore me asshole
The screwed up thing is that you had an opinion you wanted to share but what you wrote made no sense because of your language abuse. Why waste your time if no one can understand what you're writing?
I agree with most of the posts, but I agree with this one 100%!!! Same Old Jets, and do NOT give me any crap about 10-6 this year after 4-12 last year when half the team is different, we revamped the entire offense, and had a patty cake schedule. We won 10 games and handed away 3 others, and really only stole one game (Giants), possibly two if you want to count Dallas in there. If this team was as good as everyone tried to make themselves believe over the last few weeks, it would have been 13-3 with home field advantage after every other playoff team had key injuries at some point, while we none until today. Same Old Jets indeed.
Not a legit 10 win team...struggled against some bad teams...Dallas, Jax, Giants...hell I've seen enough now to say the Bills are better than the Jets ....At least they played Cincy and KC...Buffalo would've had the same if not better record than the Jets with this schedule ... Could of won the division this year the way NE had been playing. Sent from my LG-LS720 using Tapatalk
Ugh, the Jets had the perfect opportunity to make noise in the playoffs, especially since the 6 teams in the AFC are just mediocre due to all of the injuries. I'm not surprised by them losing, since I'm used to their letdowns in meaningful games, but I was disappointed by how flat they came out. Now that I think about it though... the "same old jets" always tend to come out flat in big games. Oh well onto next season as a same old jets fan, Let's go Jets!
Bang. Dead. Burial....... The entire board should read and write this statement 100x on the blackboard. Sums up the whole thing.
I'm just praying Bowles is gonna end up like Bruce Arians .Arians missed the playoffs his first year at 10-6 ,then got in the following year at 11-5 and now there 13-3
One thing I noticed this year (and in years past) - on game threads, many fans give up on their team at the first sign of trouble, as early as the 1st Qtr! We could get behind 10 - 0 in the first Qtr, or 14 - 0, and these "fans" start with the doom and gloom..."this is pathetic", it's over, blah blah blah ..... real fans stick with their team and support them, continue rooting for them with hope that they will come back until the game is really over in the 4th Qtr. In fact, if we're down 2 scores with 5:00 to go in the game, people should still be thinking we can come back, and still be cheering their team on....especially in a season like this where we ended up 10-6, and were in contention all season long. Those looking for a reason why we're "jinxed" or "cursed", that might be your reason right there... <sigh> Same old Jets fans lead to SOJ.
I had kind of agreed with this until I saw the light...if there's one solace of yesterday it's that it proved this team was absolutely NOT going on any big run. Not with the way Bowles, Fitz and the defense got exposed yesterday and Mo getting hurt.
Yea its Jets fans fault Fitz threw 3 ints,Quigley shanks a punt 15 yards,Bullock can't kick a fied goal .Great point asswipe
