How are the Bengals much better than the Broncos? Denver has had a better D throughout the season, both have a great #1 WR, and both are playing backup QBs. I would argue the teams are comparable, but right now Osweiler is the more experienced QB, and he is playing the worse of the two Ds at home. Denver has the edge in this game, whether you want to accept that or not. And I don't see how Denver would lose to the Chargers, who have been an abomination this season. To the contrary, the Chiefs-Raiders game is arguably a toss-up divisional matchup where we only need the one result to go our way (as opposed to Denver dropping two games). It's the far more likelier scenario (although only about 40% likely)
I'd agree the bengals are better based off performance this season. Kubiak has really held back Denver's offense and Bengals have clicked all year even with AJ at QB. Talent wise i'd say Denver is better slightly... But DT has suffered badly because of his QB's.. Peyton stuggled because he's old and hates the offensive system.. Sanders is the only one that has stayed good. Osweiller wasn't what people thought. I'd much rather play Denver than Cinci... and hopefully for our sake Cinci whoops their ass.
Also, my mistake above. Did not realize that Denver loses division to KC and we win tiebreaker v. them. I agree then that Cincy over Denver is at least as likely as Raiders over Chiefs. Go Bengals!
Denver does not need to lose 2. Just one. If we win out we are in. I don't care who but either KC, Denver or the Steelers need to loose one.
She be sexy. Reminds me of my 2nd grade teacher...the red-headed Miss Smith. I dropped my pencil for a record setting season.
Feel free to disagree -- it won't hurt my feelings. But you asked, so I will explain The difference between the Bengals offense compared with the Broncos to me is unmistakable. The Broncos offense is not even close. If you believe the Broncos defense is better than the Bengals the difference is nothing compared to the Offensive difference. I personally think the Bengals D is slightly better and that the Denver's is overrated. People tout the Broncos D as #1 for the reason yards against, as the measure. (in this category Broncos #1, Bengals #9) In reality the Bengals have given up total fewer points (243 for Bengals and 259 for Broncos) Bengals have given up less than 20, 8 times and 10 or less 5 times. The Broncos less than 20, 7 times and 10 or less 3 times. The Bengals have scored 378 points compared to the Broncos who have scored 308. As far as rankings go based on yards the Bengals are #11 to the Broncos #22, The Bengals have scored more than 30 7 times, the Broncos have scored more than 30 twice Therefore the difference on points for vs against is Bengals + 135 and Broncos +49 The funny thing is all along the knock has been about the Bengals can't win because of Andy Dalton, and now he is out and the same people are saying the Bengals cannot win because Dalton is out. The truth is off all the playoff teams out there, who plays QB for the Bengals probably affects them least of any team. Imagine the Pats without Brady, GB without Rodgers, Cards without Carson, Panthers without Cam, Seahawks without Wilson, Steelers without Ben, etc. I think the Bengals give anyone in the AFC a run for their money and if/when Dalton is healthy they are the best team in the AFC and that includes the Patriots. I am not sure if I would put Denver in the top 5.
It's 2009 again baby! Rookie coach, soft conference, Revis, ... AFCCG, here we come.. Sent from my Nexus 9 using Tapatalk
The tough battle is always to make the playoffs. As it turns out, we have a great, almost unbelievable opportunity to control our own destiny. We need to capitalize. Once in the playoffs you never know what can happen. We have a shot, and that is more than most of us were hopping for at the beginning of the season. The optimist in me says, this could be destiny in the making, potentially bringing Champ back to happiness since the post Namath era. The realist might say is a long shot but not impossible. Yet making the playoffs is a damned good season for the new Jets. The pessimist on the other hand...oh the hell with that, we don't need no stinking pessimist this year.
the begnals are the most beatable team in the AFC playoffs. the broncos are a much much tougher matchup lewis/dalton is a trash combo and that team is a bunch of chokers
My hopes aren't quite there yet. They're improving and getting better each week but they haven't proved anything yet. They've got a chance to be good hopes if they keep progressing and the important thing is to win some games along the way.
we have a fair chance. just take it game to game. teams can be beat, I didn't imagine the Colts beating the Broncos last year to make it to the AFC CG
