If we can't beat a deflated Bills team with a playoff spot on the line, we probably don't deserve to get in. Riding a 6-game win streak into the playoffs would be pretty great, though.
We all are...but go in with confidence. We have the guys that can do it and have proved it in December.
Agreed. Of course, for the Cincy game, remember that we beat them again the very next week WITH all of their starters. Rex doesn't scare me, it's just that we can't take the Bills lightly. The Jets just need to remember that this is not just a stepping stone into the playoffs; they really do need to play their asses off. If the team is on the way they were today or against the Titans and Dolphins, the Bills don't stand a chance.
Hasnt that been the story the last 5 weeks though? We've won 10 games. In my mind we deserve to be in the playoffs already. Especially when there are teams with less wins already celebrating division titles. Yeah the fact is we must win. But if in some horrible fashion we lost , I wouldnt say that Pittsburgh deserves to get in over us since they threw up their own divisional stinker today with their playoff destiny on the line.
Champs of State of NY ! Let's do it I think it will be cold next week and are you ready for this ....forecast is calling for some snow up in Buff Sunday 34 to 24 degrees
The Jills packed it in two weeks ago. The players can say this is their supervowl but I don't believe it. They are going just to collect that paycheck this week. The defensive players have already said they don't like what Rex has done. Just because it's Rex's old team and he'll get hyped doesn't mean the players will for the same reason. We have business to take care of. Let's punch these clowns in the mouth and lock ourselves into the playoffs. Fuck Rex and the rest of the Jills. LETS GO JETS !!
There's no reason to be nervous. We won't have Lesean McCoy, Charles Clay, Robert Woods, Percy Harvin, John Miller, Seantrel Henderson, Kyle Williams, Nigel Bradham, Stephon Gilmore, Aaron Williams, and possibly Marcel Dareus and Ronald Darby. If I'm the Jets, I put 9 in the box, Revis plus a safety on Watkins, and leave everyone else single covered. Without Harvin, Woods and Clay, we have no other option in the passing game that can win a one-on-one matchup. We are starting Chris Hogan at WR, some guy named Dezmin Lewis off the practice squad in the slot, and Chris Gragg at TE. We won't have McCoy in the running game. Shut down Watkins with Revis and a safety and this offense will not be able to move the ball. Tyrod will make some plays with his legs, and a RB catching the ball out of the backfield will make some plays, but you aren't going to win a game like that. With the Bills defense, the Jets should be able to do pretty much what they want. Everyone else has the last few weeks, save for the Kellen Moore-lead cowboys. We are missing Kyle Williams, Dareus and Bradham in the run game and both starting corners and safety have been out (Gilmore, Darby, Williams). With those guys missing we dont have anyone to defend Marshall, Decker, or probably even Enunwa. Powell out of the backfield will be a problem, we haven't been able to defend that all year long for some reason, even when we had healthy LBers. There is zero chance the Bills win this game. You have nothing to be nervous about unless Fitz has a Fitz game and throws 3 ints, but he hasn't really done that this year and to be honest, even if he did, I have little faith the Bills offense without their starters would be able to score touchdowns anyway.
When did football become a 13 man sport? I guess that's normal to think when you watch a Rex coached team.
Maybe that's why our defense has been so confused all year pre-snap? You get the picture though. 8 or 9 in the box depending on who is on the field. We have no other wideouts.
