I agree regarding Arians. I'm glad we have Todd Bowles as our HC, but I really wanted Rex fired a year earlier, and Arians to be our new HC.
Thanks for the correction. The years blur together. Make that two years earlier then. The year when Arians was the hot coaching candidate (or one of them), I wanted Rex fired and Arians hired. He has done amazing work developing QBs and I felt that's really what the Jets needed. I thought it would help balance the scale and put the emphasis on the offense for a change, and whomever our QB was should benefit from playing under/for Arians.
I say kudos to you for deescalading M Tomlin and elevating T Bowles nice job No other reason than I hate everything Pitt and their nasty coach and QB
I'd have Pettine in the middle somewhere rather than the rear. Could be I'm biased but feel that he has skills.
Belichick Carroll Tomlin Harbaugh Coughlin(should be higher but his teams are way too inconsistent) Mccarthy(could be higher but not much to show for having A-Rod) Payton Andy Reid John Fox Marvin Lewis Arians(could jump up a lot based on this postseason) Fisher Lovie Smith Rex Ryan Ron Rivera Kubiak Chip Kelly Zimmer Todd Bowles Bill O'Brien Del Rio Jim Caldwell Garrett Jay Gruden Mike Mccoy Pagano Gus Bradley Mike Pettine Dan Quinn Mike Mularkey Dan Campbell Tomsula
How many of these coaches have been caught videotaping other teams' practices for years? Only one. Tomlin is definitely in the top 10 if not top 5, and I don't know why they ever let Arians go.
Pagano is way to high IMO. I think he is one of the worst coaches in the league and I think he has absolutely no judgement of what is actually going on. Other than that, I agree with alot of it
He's fucking clueless. That botched fake punt this year and the explanation should have gotten him fired. That was just flat out inexcusable
Co Completely lost all credibilty when you ranked Rex above Ron Rivra who just won his third straight division title
And Rex Ryan has taken a team to back to back champ games without anywhere close to a qb putting up cam newton numbers. This is his first great season. He has a chance to move up
If we're basing it off this year especially Coughlin is at the bottom of the barrel. He's been terrible. Even if you want to give him a pass for the OBJ debacle and not finding a way to cool his guy down, they've lost 4 games with under 2 minutes. They should be an 11 win team this year especially in that putrid division. As a whole I think he's generally overrated winning double digit games 7/20 years and going to the playoffs 8/20 years. I understand you can't take away Superbowls but damn if there was ever am exception to the rule that seems like it'd be it.
Todd Bowles at #11 and Mike Tomlin at #18? Homer much? Tomlin has got a Lombardi on his resume...Todd ain't there yet.
Anyone care to base the list on SB trophies? Bellicheck is still at the top. Who's next?...Coughlin? Peyton...Tomlin. Work it down from there.
Remember when Dan Quinn was in the equation? I think our squad is responding just fine to Todd Bowles' approach.
Add in that those SB runs were the flukiest I've ever seen and yeah...but cant take them away. Also he took the Jaguars to the doorstep with Mark Brunell
