breakout the tank tops and open the pools for a christmas eve bbq. temps reaching 70*f thursday. followed by a week of potentially unstable weather, warm temps and rain.
tough winter recess for the kids.

73 degrees Christmas Eve in NYC is forecast 3 days out

Probably means we'll hit 77-80. That's going to be a come to Jesus moment ;)

i hear ya C, but just think about all the money everyone is saving on heating so far. we will see some cooler temps next week(maybe a flake or 2 tuesday) but it just seems like winter is taking its time getting here. i am guessing we are 3 weeks away from any cold temps

ok, lets keep an eye on tuesday. could be our first taste of winter. not much but enough to make commuting a bitch. 1-3" of snow and some ice turning to rain, won't last long but its a start.

    have a merry christmas everyone.

warm air will win out again tuesday, tough morning commute as ice will be falling early. city will change to rain early so the afternoon commute should be better.
after that clear and cooler weather will take over, still warmer than average though. so we should get half way through january without significant winter weather.

give yourself some extra time if you are commuting tomorrow. precip starting as freezing rain/sleet starts around 1 am. changes over but it could still get pretty slick. new years eve will be the start of a dry and seasonably warm stretch.
good news for the heating bill, bad news for the snow lovers.
ski slopes are hurting, heard windham open their downhill bike trails back up
