I understand that, but it is a flaw in the rule. If he was throwing it and many other cases, then by rule it is intentional grounding.
How did the Giants even come back? Literally the last time I saw the score before they were in position to tie it, it was 35-7.
Id kill the refs for getting it wrong on the field I don't think it's a good idea to use replay for penalties.

I disagree -- certain penalties -- 12 men on the field, illegal formation etc. are cut and dry and would not have problem with it. And in the above case, a defensive team makes a stellar play and gets punished because the offensive played basically does something that is illegal.
On that play, his arm was not getting hit, he was wrapped up and he clearly threw it of his own will.
