Pryor is definitely showing he was 1st Round worthy this year. Not just on the field, but think about the HUGE drop off the D had with him off the field.
Supposedly people were giving him shit for the hit and celebrating about it while the Dolphins receiver was hurt. I don't think he even noticed the guy got hurt
he tweeted at Tanny that he was celebrating his good play not the injury. He also insisted it was his fault for throwing a shitty pass. I have to agree, the pass was horrible and it got his receiver lit up.
yup. the defense looks like a different animal with him on the field. the fins blow ass but with pryor back to healthy we hardly noticed revis missing.
I lost my shit on this play cause I thought Pryor got the flag. "WHAT THE HELL DID HE DO WRONG???!!!!" "FUCK THE NFL!!!!!!" "Oh wait......."
A great strong safety is one of the primary building blocks of a championship defense. If he stays healthy we're going to love having him around in the middle over the next few years.
It was a clean hit because he went shoulder to shoulder. Very good clean hard hit. His helmet is to the side and he doesn't hit the receivers helmet with his shoulder.
He could have broken him in half if he wanted to. I like the way he plays. He is tough but not cheap So many DBs are cheap.
Definitely a different defense with him in there. Also on a side note Mauldin had a huge hit too. On his sack. Cant find the clip.
One of my police academy instructors, a HUGE Patriots fan, was pissed last year that the Jets picked up Pryor before the Pats could get to him. Bear in mind, this was on draft night that he posted this on Facebook, not after watching Pryor do something during the season. A lot of other guys agreed with him. That he was worried about Gronk and friends playing against Pryor is saying something...
I miss the good ol days when Pryor coulda gone a bit higher and taken the WRs head completely off. Catching a pass over the middle was almost a guaranteed concussion. It's almost like we're not even watching football anymore. But after seeing Al Toon in his 'golden years', maybe it's for the better. It won't be long before hitting a QB from the blind side will become illegal too. I'm actually surprised it's taken the NFL this long.
Well, in fairness, he sucked under Ryan. He definitely doesn't suck under Bowles. This is the guy we drafted for. Night and day difference in his play, irregardless of who's "fault" that is.
I always liked the pick, just though Rex was misusing him. Glad to see him having a huge second year.
