Can we please trade up for a QB next draft...we have like 12 defensive lineman. I happen to like Goff Cook and Kessler...get one of them. I cant stand this anymore
Both are awful options. You don't just draft anyone at QB because there isn't something better. We are better off focusing on the OL or another area of need. We would be much better off trading for a QB or sticking with what we got than drafting one early.
Oh man... I'm really sorry.... I thought you didn't mind. This changes things... I didn't know you were so annoyed by this... I'll get on the phone to the NFL asap, it's time to cash in our collect a free franchise QB ticket.
We would have to assess that after the season but it could be something along the lines of Stafford, Cutler, Mettenberger, Glennon. Who knows but if we finish out this season and go through another TC we could be in better position at QB. Heck, maybe even give Petty a shot. But I'd rather wait another year. Goff or Kessler will not come in and start their rookie year for us if we were to draft them. Just doesn't make sense.
So because we've failed that time we shouldn't ever bother looking to aggressively draft a QB? I don't understand this logic, we blow endless high draft picks on shitty d-backs, barely gets a mention by fans.
I don't think we will ever develop a franchise QB through the draft. Too much pressure and not enough patience with this franchise. We have no continuity and no identity because we burn through coaching staffs and front offices every other year. We can keep churning through draft picks and young QBs or we can recognize that we're better off with veteran guys like Fitz, Vinny, Favre etc.. I know that sounds bleak, but that is where our next QB has to come from.
sorry to inform you but Woody Johnson lost our free franchise QB ticket. Its buried somewhere at the bottom of his purse
I think this new regime will be more patient with QBs. I'm not saying that Petty is the answer, and he's obviously not ready to start, but they have avoided playing him. Remember that Geno was also not ready to play and he was thrown into the deep end by the previous regime.
But how long will this regime last? How long until the booing starts and the billboards go up? Sorry, this team does not do continuity - We aren't the Steelers. Everything is short term.
