I hate to say it, but this game was necessary.

Has anyone ever thought of the fact that maybe we don't have a good enough scout team to beat other teams?

Since when do Jets fans have the balls to say that a Wildcard round appearance isnt going far?

You get to the playoffs you have a chance to win a Superbowl.

We arent a wait and see team that is built to compete over the next 5 years. Its this year and next year. And MAYBE the year after if were able to acquire a QB like Brees.

To say a loss is necessary to wake a team up is one thing. To say a loss where we lost our QB for probably the season is necessary , is absurd.

We went from a 10 win team to a 8 win team.

So enjoy the 16th overall pick in the draft.

Sorry, I didn't mean to ruin your almost wildcard loss this early in the season. Go ahead and celebrate if you like. It was a fun almost Wildcard loss. We've made so much progress.

Complaining about Geno when the defense aside from Harris couldn't tackle worth a shit. Geno came on the field so the defense gave up!?!? They were up 3-0 and they gave up before they even got on the field!?? What kind of bullshit excuse is that?

This defense got shredded, picked apart, and dismanteled! This was just a pathetic performance by a defense that is supposed to be the best in the league.

This is a huge wake up call for the players and coaching staff. They need to wake the fuck up and play grown man football!

How would you know what the result would be if we played a team like the Colts in the Wildcard round?

The AFC is shit outside of New England.

I don't know, Cincy looks pretty good, and Denver. Is the NFC any better?

Oakland, Denver, San Diego and Cincy beg to differ... We are in a mix with Pitt, Balt, KC and others. Jacksonville and Buffalo big tests coming up

San Diego? Not sure where that one came from.

I'll give you Cincy and Denver..barely Denver.

Right now the Pats should beat every AFC team by 20+ points.

Im just saying would we not want to roll the dice in a WC game in Indy and then a game against the Bengals?

Its not really hard to see us beating those teams with competent QB play. Which Geno isnt going to give us.

As long as we win home next week we are back on track. Teams lose, it's the NFL. Anything can happen in the playoffs. Any given Sunday

I agree. But to me a team like a Jacksonville is a sure win when Fitz was under center. Now with Geno or someone else its a complete toss up.

So next week after Geno tears it up with a weeks worth of practice with the #1's you'll all be like "Well, whatever dude. Let's see Geno beat a GOOD team. Yeah, let's see THAT".

If this was Fitzpatrick at QB you guys would be blaming the defense. The double standard is evident.

This was a team loss, the problem was that they tried to ease Geno in during the beginning, I got the feeling that they didn't want to put too much on his plate early. I get that. But then the defense was getting shredded and we needed the offense to pick up the slack. The offense started playing better in the 2nd half, but Geno at this time isn't the type of qb that's going to bring you back from big deficits, for his first game back he looked solid.

This game wasn't necessary at all really. The coaching staff pretty much knew about the shit show they had in Geno which is why they didn't bother allowing him to reclaim his starting job in the first place. If Fitzpatrick slides we likely have a much less miserable game on our hands.
