I was talking to a friend about the mangold injury. I recall a patriot player pulling him down but cant find the video. Does anyone have a link of the video?

Mangold was injured almost at the end of the game. There was a cluster fuck pile up in front of Fitz. Don't recall seeing seeing exactly how Mangold got hurt though.

For what it's worth, he looked OK at the Halloween party!!!! No neck brace anyway.

He got blindsided high and hard while his lower body was kind of awkwardly fixed. Late in a play after pass pro, iirc.

Not a dirty play. Fingers crossed.

You never know, but I'd be surprised if Mangold didn't play. He's been amazingly resilient for a linemen over the years.

Glad to see he's ok and ready to play, its was a huge scare. Would love to see play again I think it was a dirtier play than people realized

He doesn't need to practice and since the X-Rays came back negative he'll probably play through the pain.

He did make the trip to Oakland correct? Gotta think if the team was that concerned they would've never flew him out there to begin with.

These days anything with the head or neck area is usually reason enough for the team to not put you on a plane.

So I gotta think he's going to play.

he's listed as doubtful which means there's a 75% chance that he won't play.Pryor and Powell are out

Yeah usually when a player is doubtful he's basically out.

But then again doubtful players usually dont tell the media that they're playing. Most of the time its more of a wait and see type answer.

He's said unless he's bleeding out he's playing.

There is no way Bowles is keeping him out if this game.

They're going to be playing it safe with Mangold to make sure he's ok. Neck injuries can be a recurring problem. If he plays it's because they believe that he's pain free in the area and then they'll be watching him closely. Mangold is probably the second worst season-ending injury that could happen on the Jets at this point after Chris Ivory, he might be the worst.

Dozier would be a huge downgrade, but I don't think he is as bad as some other names in there. Why not give him a shot? If we start looking bad, then put in Mangold, but despite what a lot of people think, this isn't a "must win" game.

Not to undersell your point about Mangold's value, but I think losing Marshall would harm this offense worse than anyone. I think he opens up everyone else to run free.

What is this the afc championship?I rather have Mangold healthy for the rest of the way then have him re hurt his neck and be out 4-6 weeks.

nah it goes 1. Ivory 2. Mangold 3. Dbrick

Marshall and Harris would probably be 4 and 5...but Decker can handle the WR1 if needed, problem is our WRs are all banged up right now and Smith hasn't put things together. Our o-line depth is dreadful.
