Are you sure you aren't referring to Dimitri Patterson? The cornerback we had last season who went AWOL.
It's not blaming injuries on Rex is just the type of players he brings in , the culture he creates . Harvin is awol, Rex got pissy with reporters because he didn't want to answer the questions about him because he has no idea where he is . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Smart guy. He was completely content with getting concussions year after year but that damn sore hip. Definitely need to protect your hips more than your head. Regardless, it's sad to see guys forced into this because of injuries, regardless of the fact that its going to be fun to see this Bills team implode and yet another head coach for them is shoped out of town in 2 years. This game is brutal. I have no idea how guys like Marshawn and Ivory will be walking in a decade after retirement. It's almost super human.
Percy Harvin's absence from Bills 'not strictly injury-related' Percy Harvin is an enigma wrapped in a riddle. Despite that packaging, you should probably avoid shipping him. (Fragile, handle with care, etc.) He's dealing with a hip injury that could result in retirement but also struggling with some personal stuff that's keeping him from joining the Bills in London. Or as Doug Whaley said Friday, Harvin's absence is "not strictly injury-related." "We'll keep that in-house, but I know there's a lot of other things that are going on that it's just not strictly injury-related," the Bills GM said. CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora previously reported Harvin could deal with a "long-term absence" as a result of his hip injury. There's clearly other issues as well, with Rex Ryan echoing Whaley's comments when he said earlier in the week Percy was missing because of "personal" reasons. "Well no, I think right now this is a personal thing right now," Ryan said. "That's where it is." Rex meant it wasn't Harvin's hip causing the issue in London so much as a personal thing. Very weird how all this is playing out. Harvin's struggled to fit in previously with the Vikings(who drafted him) and the Seahawks. If he backfires as a football signing on the Bills it's hard not say they didn't see it coming. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on...bsence-from-bills-not-strictly-injury-related 2nd on the team in catches and yards Great signing
4-6 years has to be an average NFL players life span in the NFL (not including high school and division I college hits). At some point players must realize quality of life is > than all the money the NFL could possibly pay you.
Sometimes legal situations can prevent you from traveling out of the country, so that's a possible explanation.
there is definitely something off about Harvin. this may well be his last stop in the league. he's just not worth his drama. i didn't want him back here for the 10.5M cap hit, and glad Mac didn't either. you know Idzik would've retained him had he stayed tho, to try to prove his trade was a good one. just yet another reason i'm glad Idzik is gone.. Buffalo got him at a low cap hit (around 4M), with nothing guaranteed beyond this year, so they can (and should) easily move on as well.
Too close to Canada ? Too bad for percy, he was a great college player and a pretty good pro when healthy. As for the bills. Just another rex guy not working out.
He said his "friends" were cowboy fans and wanted to come up with them for Dallas beating GB. When the game became official he started back tracking. Shame cuz i really wanted to meet the guy.
