I don't think it's that. I think Bowles wants to play the best players and despite the flaws Enunwa and Owusu both bring things to the field that Kerley doesn't. The Jets are getting a ton of yards downfield this year so far. The blocking has been outstanding downfield. Everybody they've put on the field when they had a choice represents some kind of potential mismatch nightmare for the opponent. Kerley doesn't do any of that. He'd be a good option if you had somebody like Brady throwing the ball, because when he was open he'd get hit and when he wasn't the ball would go somewhere else, but we don't have Brady at QB.
So we have 2 receivers on the field because they block well. Sound argument. I guess we should have kept Stephen Hill after all.
In theory they like Enunwa and Smith for Big play potential off of Marshall and Decker and Ivory. It's really just been theory so far Kerley's a good thing, not a bad thing. A good replacement with good hands out of the slot... For four games. So be it.
Hate to be mean, but this is a blessing in disguise. He's dropped too many passes and made too many mental mistakes. Unfortunately, Devin Smith hasn't looked much better, but as our 2nd round pick he's got more upside and will get more reps as a result of this.

The last I'd heard anything about Sheldon's looming discipline it wouldn't be until the off season. But then again, who knows with the NFL.

No. They are letting Sheldon's case play out in Court. He's unlikely to get suspended until next season.

Not a huge Quincy fan either, but what a crock! This happened LAST August not this August. It's been over a year, she didn't file charges, and the violent act was him dragging her off the bed. I understand its compensation for the Ray Rice issue, but the NFL is really screwed up. Maybe I am downplaying what really happened that night, but c'mon. 4 games? Brace yourself for Sheldon getting 8 games.
I think he's been terrible and while the circumstances surrounding his suspension suck, I hope this gives Kerley the chance to play. I can not figure out for the life of me what he's done to the coaching staff that has him this deep in the doghouse. he's so much better than the other guys.
