Basically Harvey has been saying he thinks if he's had any inconsistencies lately it's probably due to the 10 game layoffs between starts. Any problems relate to control. So with him getting regular starts now hopefully it's all there for him tonight. And he'll have the command. If he does he's better than the Cubs lineup.

Maybe I didn't use the right words. Maybe he sees it like this, if we matchup one of our top 3 guys VS arrieta he feels it as a wash. Why not send our 4th guy out bs their best and then lineup our 1-2 vs their 3-4 opposed to having our 1 and 4 vs their 3 and 4? The advantage is much higher in games 3 and 4 than in 2.

Jesus after rereading that I just confused myself lol. Sorry

They have some Baseline box tickets for under $200. Which is further than I like to be. I like to be inline with the pitcher, but I'm considering getting the baseline box tickets. If I talk myself into this game, then I'll talk myself into tomorrow game. I've had money earmarked for different things that I've been tapping into. Which probably isn't good  , but I'm just telling myself I'll replace it.

    Just heard a great stat.

The Cubs hit .220 against fastballs at or above 94 mph. I think that was in the divisional series but could be for the year.

In the Mets divisional series, 270 out of 315 fastballs were above 94 mph.

Get game 1 with Harvey and I definitely throw Matz game 2 and give Thor the rest. Throwing Degrom and Thor for 3 and 4 is just an insane luxury.

No concessions. I think he's just managing his team and doing what's best for it, and the players. Matz is in the rotation, and he can put a hurtin' on 'em just like the other guys.

If Matz puts it together in his next start.... we're in good shape

I'm not sure if I like Jake on short rest, or any of our guys, but I defer to Terry, Warthen, and Sandy.:)

HERE WE GO GUYS AND GAL! Mets win this 4-2. Harvey pitches 7, 8 Ks with 1 earned run. Wright gets an RBI double and Grandy goes yard.

No, he has not even resumed practice, may miss the series. Unfortunate because I believe he could be useful.
