The blessing is Tanny will absolutely destroy their future to try and fix this. Gonna be an enjoyable next 6 years.
So we just beat a team with a dead coach walking. I'm not bitching about 3-1, but the competition hasn't exactly been stellar.
This entire schedule is shaping up to be kind of cream puffy. We could end up making the playoffs and have only ended up playing 3-4 competitive teams.
Philbin is gone, but luckily Mike Tannenbaum is still there! Maybe once he gets canned in Miami he can go to Buffalo and ruin his third AFC East team
The bad part about it is that in each of the Jets' three wins the other team had at least one turnover at the goalline or in the endzone. If those had been converted into tds, all three games would have had a much different complexion.
http://www.nationalfootballpost.com...hins-had-been-mounting-for-weeks-in-practice/ Tannehill getting picked off by practice squad players, how much of a joke is this guy? People been clamoring he's a top 10 QB in the NFL - dude is and always was overrated trash like Josh Freeman who threw 27 TDs a few seasons ago as a Buc, obviously not as bad but you get the picture.
Courtesy of Deadspin: On Saturday during practice, [Ryan] Tannehill, after a couple of practice squad players forced turnovers, Tannehill made negative comments toward them, including saying: “Enjoy your practice squad paycheck, enjoy your practice squad trophy.” Sources say this has been going on for the past few weeks as the practice squad players have been intercepting Tannehill and frustrating the former Texas A&M wide receiver turned quarterback. Philbin even told the scout team to take it easy on Tannehill.
You think he'd have learned from his time here. Looking at him and Rex now is like, wow how'd we get to 2 afc title games with these clowns? They burn bright but burn out fast. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
You're really talking about Tannenbaum after two years of Idzik, seriously? If it wasn't for those two we would have never gotten to those two title games, let's see how long he takes these guys to duplicate it..want to bet they are long gone before ever getting to one?
Yeah I am. He put this team in cap hell. He left this team in such a bad state that we had to settle for Idzik. It was widely reported that he was one of the only candidates willing to take the job. 2 years of afc title games means he doesn't deserve the crap for the years of below mediocrity that followed? Come on man don't start Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
No, it was widely reported that he was the only one who would accept having a coach not of his choosing decided for him. Winning is the only thing that matters and there are tons of ex-gms and ex-coaches laying by the wayside because they didn't win enough.
Maybe, but after last years killer schedule (and result), I'm not going to complain too loudly about this years schedule.
