Well now, this is popcorn worth http://news.yahoo.com/nfl-source-tom-brady-serve-131628730.html NFL Source: Tom Brady Will Serve a Four-Game Suspension at Some Point This Season By Chris Yuscavage 1 hour ago . View photo Wait, Deflategate isn't over? NOOOOOO! Just when we thought Deflategate was 100 percent over, we are getting pulled right back into it. We don't know how much stock we put into this, but during the New York-based radio show Boomer and Carton this morning, host Craig Carton dropped a bit of a bombshell with regards to the never-ending Deflategate scandal. According to him, he spoke with a "very influential person in the NFL" on Thursday who told him that the league is still pushing hard for Tom Brady to serve a four-game suspension at some point this season. If you remember, the league has appealed the ruling that a judge handed down earlier this month nullifying the suspension, and they are now trying to expedite that appeal so that Brady will be forced to miss some games. The NFL source told Carton that there is "no doubt in his mind" that the appeal will be finalized sometime between now and the end of the season. Carton's co-host Boomer Esiason downplayed everything that the source said. "I don't buy it," he said. "I know they want to expedite an appeal, but there's so many other things on the docket at these courts. Is this really that important to somebody?" And while the obvious answer to that question is "Roger Goodell," we have to agree with Esiason's take on this. We just can't see Brady serving a suspension this season. Then again, we still can't believe that a story about deflated footballs from last season is still making a dent in the sports news cycle, so who the hell knows? At this point, we've just come to terms with the fact that Deflategate is never going to die. Send all complaints, compliments, and tips to sportstips@complex.com.
NFLonCBSVerified account@NFLonCBS Report: 'No doubt' Tom Brady serves four-game suspension this season
I have no doubt that if the NFL can suspend Brady for 4 games at some point this season they will. I have a lot of doubts that they'll be able to do that unless something really strange turns up between now and January.
Doubt it happens But i like that the nfl is not letting it die. Tommy boy and bb can answer questions about this new report and squirm a little today
Boomer and Carton radio show is awful. At least for football....I always hear them apologizing for New England antics...and they love them some Kraft cheese. Boomer hates the Jets (loves the Rangers though) and Carton is in love with Kraft (the pats can do no wrong...or at least Kraft can't). They live on their knees for Kraft apologies ..."there is no way Kraft could have known". "I don't believe Kraft knew". Kraft knows his coach and QB are corrupt...Kraft is the one that pays Brady on the side. duped again
haven't heard a single thing about the appeals process taking shape. it's frustrating, but good to know the NFL doesn't plan on letting cheating slide as quickly as the ball sucking media.
The Patriots legacy is tarnished forever at this point. It's going to take an ownership change for the average non-Patriots fan to believe that the Pats are anything but cheaters at this point. You can live as a pariah franchise forever, witness the Oakland Raiders during Al Davis tenure, but it's a different thing when opposing fans really hate you. That's where the Pats are right now.
lol good luck with that Roger, your court record is worse than Rich Kotite's W/L record as Jets coach
Apparently the nfl is going to reopen the scab every few weeks so no one forgets too. If they lose the appeal i wouldn't be surprised if a tape from spygate magically gets discovered and leaked to the press
There ya go Elvii! I'm sure it'll work out for you this time. The franchise is rogue, we must remove them.
Craig Carton also was convinced, despite every indication to the contrary, that Lebron was going to sign with the Knicks this past offseason. Just sayin . . .
Now you're getting it finally But those league sources are always shifting gears http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...olution-highly-unlikely-before-end-of-season/
