All we've been begging for is average QB play and folks are complaining?

He looked awful in Cincy and his first few years in Buffalo.

He's a Miami sportswriter - they aren't required to know anything about sports, they just want to start drama.

It's true. If you want to feel the way you feel about Geno, that's fine. But come on Geno wasn't the reason we lost to GB. We almost beat them in GB early last year with a healthy Jordy Nelson.

He looked bad in Cincy. He was fine in Buffalo but there was almost no talent around him and he forced too many passes.

Think of it this way: he was a 7th round pick and Cincy actually gave him some starts. That's a really rare thing to happen.

Then he got to Buffalo and they saw enough to give him a huge deal for his skills. He's already made about $60M as an NFL QB in his career. Bad QB's don't get that kind of money from anybody except off their rookie deal (and not so much even that any more). He's a decent QB who needs talent around him. Now he's got some talent. I'm really interested to see if he can hold up and build a nice little career here.

He was trash in Buffalo, he didn't truly breakout until 2011. And this was all after sitting for 3 years before he even saw the field, and even then it still took him a few more years to really look decent. Geno has shown more in his first 2 years than Fitz did in his 4th and 5th seasons after sitting for 3 years. Think about that.

Wow you did some research there to come up with this Genophile tidbit.

Well done--you've proven Jet fans wrong.

Start Geno because Fitz was as awful as Geno in 2008-2009.

    Makes sense.

The team didn't improved after that run they lost a lot of their talent. Maybe you should I dunno actually look shit up. It's not that fucking hard to use Google.

Kurt Warner could never carry a team.

Never-ending excuses for one of the worst QBs in the league, the funny thing is all these Geno homers are mad that the Jets are winning and all they can focus on is how poor Geno is being wronged fuckin pathetic

Nobody is mad the team is winning. Go back and check I said this team could easily be undefeated at its by and I stand by that.

The point is the forum is for debate and discussion but it seems like if you don't agree with the mob mentality you're horrible. All facts and reason get ignored. Nobody is claiming Geno to be the second coming of Joe Montana, but if you ask me who I like mechanically and as a play and I say, accept it. You don't have to agree. It's ok to not agree but all the extra shit that comes with it is not necessary.

Like I said, use numbers and facts to show me your point of view, that's all.

You go back and look the team was a perennial playoff contender with Kurt did not make the playoffs without him. The coach lost his job because of it.
Let me guess Geno is better than Warner because you watched him all summer and we can't prove otherwise because he has not played yet this year.

Like I said you are a Joke.

as a ROOKIE with no consistent training camp reps, he only threw 4 more picks than Fitz

The stats show as a veteran who only started 2 LESS games as Geno, their stats are pretty comparable last season. Geno played on a far inferior talented team. I dont think theres a person on this board who will say that this team had any semblance of talent last season.

Like i said, I not saying I want Fitz to fail, but There are way too many predictors that this isnt going to be a Cinderella story with him.

Except Kurt Warner was only successful when surrounded by pro bowl talent on offense. He was sooooo good in fact the giants would have rather stared an rookie over him after a few games. Go check out when Warner had success maybe you'll learn something. Good QB, good story, but Greatly overrated.

    Holy shit, really?

You are honestly comparing their seasons last year in any way remotely favorably?

    Because of excuses?

    Wow.
