There are several Genobots here along with more than a few Rexaholics. We're a diverse site if nothing else.
Rooting for the Jets. I guess we now know another reason why the suicide rate is so high in Sweden. _
Dude how often do you come here? You have 19 posts since April 18th 2012. This was discussed weeks ago. Please read the other threads.
I know, but as I said I was surprised that this was the attitude towards him. I thought most fans had his back, despite him not playing well for us. That's why I made the thread. Haven't been on here for a while but wanted to return.
When I got interested in the NFL I got hooked on some of the players the Jets had back then. Mangold, Thomas Jones, Rhodes. And Revis just got drafted. A year or two after that Rex arrived. Been following the team closely ever since. I'm the only Jets fan here though. Most NFL fans in Europe go for the Packers or the Patriots. Which makes me want to be a Jets fan even more.
Good for you. I am glad there are still people in Europe who consciously pick Jets. I guess there is a God
Well he's been awful for the past 2 seasons and although it wasn't his fault that he got punched, there was no way he should have been involved in the scuffle. Even Bowles said it was very childish. The entire locker room minus Brandon Marshall did not even stick up for him. That to me says a lot about the lack of the team's respect for him.
What's up with the Geno hate? ...How much time ya' got buddy? - Aside from some promising flashes his play has been expectedly bad. Bad enough to consistently be in the basement of all measurable performance standards among quarterbacks. This is not arguable, it is fact. - He has not commanded one ounce of respect from his teammates. Only Brandon Marshall gave overly enthusiastic praise that was meant to be supportive but came across corny. Case and point, allowing a conflict with a teammate to come to blows. No leader allows this to fester. - Lack of work ethic. From showing up late from movie time to showing no interest in making the offense a cohesive unit. For example, Fitzpatrick's latest texts to the receiving corps has been fantastic. The guy is an unlikable degenerate and this has been hashed and rehashed in multiple threads.
Some people here are just happy to be miserable. They also would rather be able to pump up their chests and say they were right over the team actually succeeding. While Geno has his ups and downs, the fact still remains that the BEST chance for this team to get good and competitive quickly, is for Geno to pan out and be an adequate QB. If that cannot happen, then this team will be 3-5 years away at a minimum. Will it happen?, We will never know until he sees the field, but there is enough indication from the end of last season, training camp and the addition of Chan Gailey, he could. People here tend to ignore the fact that the offensive coaching for the Jets especially at the QB and WR positions were basically at the POP Warner level under Rex. Anyone who wants to claim the jury is still not out on Geno, just has their head up their ass and wants him to fail. This talk about leadership, character etc. is bull shit -- Not a sole on these boards has a fucking clue how anyone in that locker room views Geno and to try and claim they do just shows their ignorance. So to the OP - there is a ton of Geno hate on this board, most of which is way over the top.
