He has a combative history Geno. He's been bounced from here before for going after people with every post. Just an angry man usually.
Here something to ponder? If it was Revis who hit him and had the same contract he had in Tampa Bay? Would they had cut him? Yes I agree it about money to point but it more about talent.
I wouldn't put it past Rex to put IK on the active roster just for a Jet Game if for no other reason to try and get inside Geno's head. If something like what you suggest happens, of course all eyes (including the Refs) will be on them.
And i think intellectual dishonesty allows one to pretend that a guy who obviously got punched in the face during the course of a verbal disagreement wasn't "sucker-punched"
Dude you obviously have no idea what the term "sucker punched" means. Notwithstanding the mountain of evidence to explain it to you. _
Yeah he is absolutely putting him on the roster and if we know Rex, he's sending him out for toin coss. _
If it was revis that hit him they would have cut smith and said it was all his fault. somebody had to go and it was just easier to cut ik no matter what really happened.
That maybe true but I think neither get cut. Hell they may make something up and we never really know how Geno jaw got broke. Who knows.
Well if you look at the thread when Rex signed IK, it shouldn't shock anyone how pissed some fans will be. Me? I like good theatre. I think it'll be funny as hell, but only if we kick the shit out of the Bills. _
As I pointed out earlier, the fallacy in your notion that the jets protected geno's reputation to "put out the fire" is greatly hindered by one obvious verity: Geno is wildly unpopular. Fining him, benching him, or even cutting him would not have been looked at as some great loss that the Jets would never be able to overcome. Heck, you had people saying that geno getting his jaw broken was a blessing in disguise.
No, but wouldn't it be nice to not blindly follow a lynch mob on each and every possible issue pertaining to a given player?
I read what he says, I listen when he speaks. he has just got it all wrong. His perceptions are screwy. But why am I bothering to answer someone with a screen name like yours about Geno?
Holy shit. The Jets were not "protecting Geno's reputation". They were protecting the Jets organization by trying to squelch an asinine situation that they found themselves in because of a couple of knuckleheads. Cut the peripheral player, the QB (whether popular or unpopular) is on the shelf for 6-10 weeks (btw, they made that determination even before Geno sought his second opinion) and put verbal clamps on everyone in the organization and let the situation die a relativey quiet death asap. Geezuz really? You thought they did what they did to protect Geno's "reputation". Dude. _
