Pay your debts and keep your promises.

Two ways to not get your jaw relocated.

He has no one to blame but himself.

"The guys look at me as a leader," Smith said

WTF Mangold and Brick are looked at as leaders. Revis and Harris on D. Get your head out of your ass Geno, you lost your job and possibly your career

To be fair, he said all the right things mentioned in that article.
He should be angry, but at the same time hungry to work harder to get his job back.

The fact that he got punched and nobody backed him up speaks volumes as to what they look at him as.

I just can't wait to see how people act on here when Geno healthy and Fitz is playing bad. I'm not hoping bad play on Fitz but history says he will.

Again he and a couple others came out A WEEK LATER after everyone was calling out the locker room for not having Geno's back. I'd take what they said more seriously if it came before people were starting to notice the deafening silence of support for Geno.

I agree. The bye is in a tricky spot because it's almost in line with Fitz's traditional meltdown. That said, and Bowles put it perfectly, why give him the job back if Fitz is playing well? I expect it'll be a short leash from Week 6 on.

Did a Roger Staubach ever feel compelled to have to say "the guys look at me as a leader" ? ?

Your going to believe whatever you want because u don't like Geno and that ok. If people came out right away and supported him you Geno haters would say there just saying that because that the thing to say. Oh by the way I didn't hear one person come out and support Cam Newton when he got into a fight with his teammate. I guess his team thinks he no leader.

I don't know if Roger ever said that but I've heard a lot of players say they are the leader of there team.

By all accounts, he has every right to be. The guy supposedly got sucker-punched for no good reason (and no, a quibble over a minor debt does not constitute a "good reason").

I'd be angry too. The entire nation would know I got ko'd.

"You know what? I'm on the team. The guys look at me as a leader," Smith said. "Whether it's my team or not, it's Woody's team. It's coach Bowles' team. And it's a trickle-down effect.

More like the Hillary Clinton effect.

If Geno is a good QB, it would be his job when he's healthy. The fact that his starting position is in question, says the cs is not 100% behind his play.
