how about the Patriots sneaking practice balls onto the field during a 2004 game against the Jets? it was apparently common practice by the Patriots. when finally busted, the NFL quietly dealt with it behind the scenes, despite the 13-7 close game in which the Patriots clearly held and advantage.. it was the same QB, same HC, and i believe even the same ball boy sneaking the practice balls on the field. then of course there was spygate as well. your cheating fucks have received more than their fair share of warnings already. that is why this is where it is. any delusional fan who thinks the league is just picking on the Pats needs to take a hard look in the mirror. the league is just finally putting an end to the bullshit which has been ongoing for over a decade plus..

The $1 million was given to Belichick by Hess for turning down requests for interviews when he contractually could have (while BP was head coach and Hess was still alive). It had nothing to do with his contractual obligation to become HC when BP stepped down. BP knew after Hess died, according to his book, that Belichick had no interest in sticking around after Hess's death once it came down to Dolan or Johnson. BP, knowing that BB was free to leave without compensation, smartly resigned, making BB the HC. Once the courts determined that BB was indeed the HC of NYJ, BP then called up Kraft and arranged the trade. Once the sale went through, BP declined Woody's offer to return to HC, spent a year in the FO, then got out of Dodge himself. The bonus is what he did for Hess when he was alive, not some promise to a subsequent owner.
