Why get so defensive? If you want to argue how great of a leader he is then he should be a lock for team captain this year, that's all. But we all know it's not going to happen. And we all know why. So why beat around the bush with this "it's because of WVU, it's because of the Jets". Why isn't it ever because Geno hasn't proven to be a great leader and a capable QB? How can you deny that?

Spot on. Something's wrong with this guy because the only thing bizarro is the OP. How anyone could be this obsessed with any player is amazing. Hasn't once discussed anything he does on the field or even on this topic of him rehabbing but instead chooses to make brainless false statements and talk so bad about the guy as if Geno banged his girl.
This is what some of you Geno fanatics don't get. I don't know how many more times I have to mention this, maybe you don't read it, maybe you don't understand it, I don't know, maybe you're just too upset to even read what I write and think about it. Who knows. I have NO ISSUE with Geno as a player, what he does on the field. Is he great? Of course not. But I think he can be a good QB in this league, unlike you or a lot of Geno fans, and especially unlike everyone else here who thinks he just flat out sucks. I was excited for him, excited for our season until this IK situation. My issue with him is that I think he's got a bizarre persona, he doesn't come off very humble, hard working or likeable. I'm not defending Geno because I think he's the next big thing, I am defending Geno because people are saying stupid shit about him. I'm all aboard the Bryce train. I think in two years he's going to be our solidified starter and I'm excited about it. So that kind of debunks your entire shitty theory about me. Which brings me to my next point, who gives a shit if Geno is named captain? I'll entertain your point like an idiot… I don't think he would be named captain because he's a third-year quarterback who has a lot to prove. You don't usually see those types named captain. That doesn't mean he can't go out there and have a good year and prove himself worthy of the starting spot for years to come.

By all accounts he works hard, he does the necessary things to try and improve himself. He's known as a film rat as well. The only thing that may be correct for now is the questionable leadership, and that can be developed. Now what is your evidence that he isn't respected? The punch isn't proof of lack of respect.
I wouldn't care if he was a team captain or not. We're arguing here about the fact that people are actually saying he's a good or even great leader when it's just not true. He's not.
