another bug: I spent some time twice looking for how to update in Windows 10. When I search Windows Update, it comes up with nothing on the computer (I had Windows 7 and it was listed under programs). It's not listed under apps. I then tried the Windows Update website, and it told me the site is for Windows 8, not Windows 10. The reason I check for updates myself is because Windows automatic updater is idiotic. It takes a while to find updates, and then when it does, it often restarts my computer without telling me. That happened last night. I had nothing on the computer saying there were updates being installed. I wake up in the morning and it restarted my computer, thus deleting a notepad I was working on. It then said updates were installed.
Finally got my copy installed on my old laptop this morning. Haven't done much w/it yet, seems OK so far. I do like how smooth the edge browser is so far.
Edge still seems to be a work in progress. Probably good that it wasn't rushed to coincide with the Win10 release. The Browser is fast enough but not ready for add ons just yet. One BIG caveat I have with Win10 is that you have no control over your font style. I thought they were going to change that but apparently not. Arial or nothing. Certainly no Italics. Probably dealt with in Win 10 SP1 since we all know there will be a SP1 in the near future.
Ive been enjoying it. Edge imo is ok for how early it is and overall not a bad OS. I like the taskview feature but I wish it can be triggered by simply going to a chosen corner on the screen like it is in Ubuntu. This is from 2007.
I like it too. Just still on a bit of a learning curve. I can't get the hibernate to work properly yet. Everything else seems fine. Just updated my Mobo drivers to Win10 64bit. My machine is faster now that it was before the update. I would check with my Mobo maker to see if they have anything out yet. My board is Gigabyte and they were ready for this.
I dunno guys I'm kinda feeling windows 10. It's much better than 8 already thank god. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

Fears of Microsoft scanning your Windows 10 PC for pirated games are overblown Windows 10 has many concerned about privacy, but the latest worries over Windows 10's "EULA" are not what they seem to be. FLICKR/NICOLAS RAYMOND Ian Paul | @ianpaul Contributor, PCWorld Aug 17, 2015 6:58 AM e-mail Windows 10's overall excellence, it's been plagued by privacy concerns stemming from its lengthy terms and conditions. But this weekend, a new Windows 10 brouhaha popped up that had nothing to do with Microsoft and everything to do with not giving the bold print a closer reading. The latest mess all started with reports saying Microsoft’s end user licensing agreement for Windows 10 had changed, allowing the company to scan your PC and prevent you from playing a ripped version of Far Cry 4: "Sometimes you’ll need software updates to keep using the Services. We may automatically check your version of the software and download software updates or configuration changes, including those that prevent you from accessing the Services, playing counterfeit games, or using unauthorized hardware peripheral devices." That sounds pretty invasive, but perhaps not entirely unbelievable given Windows 10’s cloud integration. The only problem is the EULA the reports point to is called the Microsoft Services Agreement, which is not the Windows 10 EULA. Instead, it’s for Microsoft’s various online and cross-device services—many of which run on Windows 10—such as Cortana, Groove, Office 365 Home, Skype, Xbox Live, and Xbox and Windows games published by Microsoft. So these terms are most likely a reiteration of what’s already happening. If you try to go online with a cracked version of a Microsoft PC game, for example, you might end up not being able to play that game. The same goes for trying to connect to Xbox Live with pirated games or connecting unauthorized hardware peripherals to the Xbox One console. As The Verge’s Tom Warren points out, Microsoft has been taking action against Xbox pirates for years, and it’s unlikely Microsoft would go after PCs with the same zeal. The story behind the story: That said, there are many real privacy concerns with Windows 10 where Microsoft really is grabbing data from your PC. But often this data is anonymized and about delivering better security, gathering telemetry data, or improving online services such as Cortana. If you are concerned about Windows 10’s EULA, however, you are free to read the actual document on Microsoft’s site, and here’s the pre-installed OEM version. Notice that the only mention of counterfeit software deals with activation of Windows itself.
I don't have any problems with w10 atm and coming from w8 I definitely can't complain. I wish Edge had addons but I'm sure they're coming.
I upgraded my gaming machine to Windows 10 after trying it on VMWare for a few weeks. It may be too early but I like it. I especially like Edge. Damn this browser is FAST. I've been using Chrome on all my other machines since it came out but I think I'll stick to Edge on W10.
I installed windows 10, but ran into some problems. Does anyone run multiple displays? I have a laptop with a big screen connected with HDMI and a monitor connected with mini DP. During one of the updates, the HDMI could not be detected. I have to disable my mother board video card to make the hdmi detectable, but then my 2nd monitor does not work. I have researched this, deleted my drivers updated, etc... but there seems to be no answers. Maybe someone here may know. Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-2620M 2.70 GHz, 8 gigs ram, 64 bit - Video cards intel HD Graphics 3000, and Nvidia GeFroce GT 555M. Sadly, i may have to roll back to windows 7.
Windows 10 is SO MUCH better than Windows 8. Much smoother, more streamlined, faster, better designed, etc. Good riddance to Windows 8. Windows 10 reminds me of Vista a bit as well.
Its been a couple of months now...I am guessing some of the bugs were fixed but I still fear switching to Windows 10 from my beloved Windows 7 Also, Microsoft did a poor job of explaining that the free upgrade within the 1st year was forever. It was bad language and just a cluster mess of them explaining this upgrade. Now they still want more people to install so their new patches in 7 and 8.1 include the disabled pop up again. What do you all think of Windows 10 now?
I'm not switching on either of my PC's. When I have to get Windows 10, the next time I buy a PC, I'll get it. It's not worth the hassle and I don't see the need. They're going to have to make a specific recommendation based on a particular threat to get me to switch and I won't do it anyway if they've got CYA language in the EULA which I'm sure they will. All of the big telecoms are corrupt as hell at this point. Microsoft is no better.
I use it pretty much everyday now and havent booted into Ubuntu for a month. The updates have fixed some of the early problems so its smooth for me to use.
