So if Fitz goes down your comfortable with Petty and lets say Grossman backing him up?

    Good luck with that

I'd love to see the Jets sign Rex Grossman.

TOUGH football player. Started a Super Bowl.

I don't think the Jets are going to be willing to give up anything of any real value for Glennon or Mettenbereger. So I dont know how realistic getting one of those guys is going to be. I bet we end up with a guy like Flynn or Yates.

Campbell to me intrigues me a lot, he can manage the game.

The organization needs to not panic and trade away anything of value for another backup quarterback. Fitzpatrick can handle the load, we just need to sign someone off the street for injury purposes and to ensure that Petty isn't the next option if/when Fitzpatrick gets clocked. This is started to feel like 2005 all over again and the season hasn't even started yet.

Maybe Vinny wants to come back for his third reunion? It'd be nostalgic and fun in what could very well end up being a lost season anyway.

If he hadn't previously been a Jet & the organization was totally objective, he'd likely be seen as the best option in the 'backup with potential to start' trade market.

Pennington....He'll learn the playbook in a week...that gives him a month to get into shape.

Seriously, IF Fitz goes down, go to Petty. The worst that can happen, is we're in the Cardale Jones sweepstakes.

Fuck...on second thought. START PETTY now. Save Fitz to mentor Jones.

Too funny. Geno is just as bad as any of these guys, if not worse. It doesn't matter who it is, our QB situation is fucked. Fail for Cardale.

So you think "overpaying" for subpar talent is a good way to build a successful football team?

    Good luck with that

I'd absolutely bring back Sanchez for a 4th rounder. He's on a cheap 2 year deal that could be serviceable until Petty is ready. Sounds good to me.

Doubt we're trading for a QB. Geno will be back soon, Fitz is an ok backup. Would be very shortsighted, a panic type move to trade for a QB now. Unless you decided to move on from Geno and have a new franchise QB. In that case I guess Glennon would make sense, the rest doesn't fit the bill. Cousins is a wild card, I liked 90% of what he did last year. The other 10% was probably the worst in football. The rest is garbage, barely (if at all) better than Fitz.
