The jest lost 2 average guys, the issue was dealt with quickly, IK was released, Laurenzo Mauldin is now going to get more playing time.

This is not a high school football team, the chemistry will be fine. Parents are not going to disinvite each other to thanksgiving dinners because of this.

It's no big deal, the only one that will keep on talking about this 6 games into the regular season is ESPN.

I know that Fitzpatrick hasn't been on par with Geno so far in camp, but remember that because this wasn't a competition Fitz worked exclusively with the 2nd team. Let's see how he does with Marshall/Decker and the first team line. Thursday should be very interesting to watch.

Hopefully he has a better showing.

No it doesn't. The recovery is 6-10 weeks from now.

Umm thats would be like 14 weeks. A broken jaw doesn't take that long to heal.

it's 6-10 and a broken jaw never ever takes 16 weeks to heal.

At the very least he should be able to practice. I mean it's gonna hurt but we've seen other QBs deal with a lot more stuff. RG3 played with torn ligaments in his knee, he could barely walk. Now playing with a broken jaw is different, he should sit out the games until week 1 or week 2. But if he shuts himself down completely, sitting on a couch for 10 weeks, that'll be ridiculous. I don't put it past Geno, he hasn't exactly shown in the past how serious this job is to him (going to movies and missing meetings etc.).

Please tame your inner racist. This is a football forum, not the BS thread.

It is the reps he will miss more than the games is the issue. He is still learning as a QB and learning a new system this will kill any chance Geno has of starting for the Jets baring injury.

Man, the Jets really get creative when trying to get rid of Quarterbacks these days.

Fitz is also coming off of an injury which could explain the slow start.

Bryce Petty may get his shot this year after all.

He sucks. We know this from years of experience. I don't/didn't understand the love from day 1.

Might be able to help us out of this jam, but fitz will not take this offense anywhere. Old news, or just old Zzz

Its Training Camp, like Allen Iverson said, it's practice. This year was not a given for Geno, I'm not happy about the situation but it's not as big of a deal as ESPN is making it out to be.

    The jets will be fine.

Thus, IKE gets picked up by Patriots and goes on to have a Pro Bowl Career.
Along with winning the Super Bowl MVP in SB 50

Upon receiving the Lombardi and SB MVP trophy, IKE says to the 100 Million+ crowd on national television. "It was worth it"
