Was thinking the same thing. Even the best pick of the Idzik era (Sheldon) isn't looking too good right now due to off the field issues. When all is said and done, we may look back and say Idzik whiffed on every single pick of his tenure.

Milliner is an example unfortunately of a certain kind of player. The fragile kind.

Some players will suffer a particular injury, and then are usually at greater risk of getting that same injury again.

Others might hurt say a knee, and maybe three years later a shoulder, and you wouldn't think all that much negative about that.

But others like Milliner keep getting hurt here, then there, and can't stay on the field.

Fragile. It's not good. Imo he's unlikely to ever come close to making a contribution to the Jets. Maybe he'll surprise, by returning and playing well. And staying on the field all the rest of the season.

    Don't count on it.

unreal, he's made of glass, which we knew before we drafted him. i had a lot of hope for him still, but this just makes me hate idzik more.

It's been awhile since we saw him out there, but he was uneven on the field, too. Yes, he had "flashes" of good play, but no doubt partly due to missing camp and such he wasn't playing like a first round pick even when he was out there.

At least Kyle Wilson was relatively healthy. It would be amazing if Milliner went down as a worst pick than Wilson.

Geno turns it around this year
Amaro becomes more of a threat
    IK is the sleeper
Hopefully Sheldon turns his life around off the field
    4 players out of 18?

I guess this is why he was passed on by a few teams that needed a corner

Wilson had 3 INTs and 18 passes defended in 80 games in NY
Milliner had 3 INTs and 17 passes defended in 16 games in NY.

All I know is that a healthy Dee (which at this point I don't know if he was healthy when he played well in the last two or three games of 2013) is better than a healthy Kyle Wilson.

this is why you don't use a top ten draft choice on a kid who's already had a collection of surgeries before leaving college....... Plenty of people argued that he wasn't injury prone because he "didn't miss playing time". Who gives a shit, he obviously was getting hurt, only a matter of time when those injuries start happening at bad times....... like being drafted by the JETS.

It sucks that he keeps getting hurt. Thankfully the Jets were relatively deep at CB.

Jets season opener is roughly 5 weeks away.

That means, if all goes well, Milliner could be back by week 2. And at the latest week 5. If he is healthy, I think he has some potential. But that has become the biggest "if" in Jets camp.
