i agree totally with Westhoff on IK...
He is a bull with a great burst off the ball, and i think subpackages would be a great place to rotate him in.
give him one job on those subpackages.....disrupt the QB!
he also showed good versatility on special teams, so i agree we should see him contributing more there as well.

    great to hear regarding Carpenter.
have to admit, i've been skeptical of that signing......but hope i'm wrong.

can't agree with Westy on Geno yet though....
i hope he's wrong regarding Fitzpatrick, and that we do have legit competition with 2 good options.

Thanks, I thought I saw 21, but obviously my old, tired eyes were mistaken.

Good Stuff! It looks like Leonard would've drawn two holding penalties if that were in a game; not surprising, especially from Winters and Colon.

I think fans were surprised with the D-Line pick and never really embraced Williams yet. They will soon enough.

Good point. Most of us were happy with the pick given the opportunity, but we didn't spend any time anticipating it since it was a surprise on draft day. They'll be wearing Williams jerseys soon enough - especially with Sheldon out.

So is Williams sticking with #62? Still kinda weird number for a DL.

He said on his instagram account that he's going to change it after cuts. I think Ronald Talley should be part of the first wave of cuts so that would free up 95, which I think he'd take. He was 94 in college.

I think it is more of a precaution on the Bears part. He will be starting week 1.

It depends where you think you are as a team, if the coaches don't think the team is quite ready to go deep in the playoffs they would probably rather take the season to develop a long term solution at QB instead of using someone with 1 or 2 years left in the league. If Fitz is just slightly better then they should go with Geno and give him that last shot to see if he is going to be that long term solution at QB. Of course if Fitz is clearly better then I hope they put him in and take the division.
I have not been big on Smith but if the coaching staff thinks he can lead the team I will be behind him until it is clear he is not the one. Yes I know many will say he has already shown he is not the one.

Someone asked me a while back if LW was OTC @ 6 would you take him? I said no, because I felt we could get someone else like Amari Cooper, but man I am glad to get this guy. Can't wait to see this guy on the field.

You have to think that Skrine is going to see some action as the underneath robber safety in obvious passing situations.

I don't think we're learning anything too extreme from camp reports. The definitive problem is still the interior offensive line and obviously consistency at quarterback. We just have to pray a guard emerges in camp and blows the rest away because if they all perform similarly in camp we're most likely going to have a gaping hole at guard.

Just saw this as well. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't see Winters being an NFL player for many more seasons. People try to praise him in run blocking because he traps well; so does every other NFL guard. He just doesn't appear to ever have quick enough feet and stands straight up at times in pass protection.

God help us if he emerges as the other starting guard, especially since he literally gets beat on the same exact move every time because he's too slow.
