I actually logged on to post it and saw it had already been posted. Would have never gone with this title though so I would have blown it.
"I ordered Richardson and his two adult male passengers out of the vehicle at gunpoint due to Richardson appearing to reach for something between his feet upon being ordered to stop. A fully loaded semi-automatic handgun was recovered from underneath the driver's side floor mat of the vehicle." So, um. Was he planning on, uh, shooting the cop?...
At $14M a year the Jets are going to have to move on. 3-4 DE's don't get paid like that. J.J. Watt is twice the player any other guy playing the position is and even then he's overpaid at $16M+ a year.
why does it make a difference? people have been wanting to trade Mo since the off-season began. you trying to use a specific point and time to talk about trade rumors is fucking pointless. Stop your weak ass bickering. I wish I could have a popularity graph of Mo this off-season.
It sounds like a strange place to conceal a weapon. Under the seat makes some sense but under the mat?
Uhhhh, why does finding out the guy we wanted to take over the position is a pot smoking, gun-wielding, street-racing, cop-fleeing lowlife matter? You need me to answer that question?
I just dont see how he plays for the Jets next season if all of this is true. What is Sheldon going to say? Man the media got him good. This also takes attention away from the Brady cheating stuff. Which btw, I was totally enjoying haha
I am not so sure -- The Panthers shut down Greg Hardy last year while awaiting the courts. The 12 year old and loaded handgun are some serious shit and should not be taken any more lightly than domestic violence. As a Jets fan I am horrified by this and would applaud the Jets if they suspended him for the season and withheld him from camp starting tomorrow. The other disturbing thing which is a HUGE problem in society right now, is the notion that you do not have to listen to or follow police orders, while some of the blame might lie with the officers in some cases, all of the race shit in the news lately have one common denominator, not following police orders and not respecting authority.
we still don't know the #s - I stand by Mo not JJ Watt #s. We also know Mo is more than just a 3-4 DE. The price for defensive players is going to go up - Watt isn't the defensive player with the highest contract. Justin Houston just crack 100M. I get nervous when I think of Mo having a huge year because it's only going to increase the # ... it would be the Jets way to not have Wilkerson and Richardson in 5 years and just have Leonard Williams I guess. its all premature talk, but it should be interesting to see the developments.
He's now an untrustworthy player. Being caught with marijuana is bad, but he deserved a second chance. Now this, its too much to ignore. Sign Mo to an extension. Whatever you get from Sheldon is a bonus. He's not someone you can count on right now.
the markets shifting… 3-4 DE's may not have gotten paid like that in the past, but now... the deal should start with guarantees that equal or even surpass what he'd make if tagged twice, and we'll go from there. growing cap, rising rates from other d-ends, the tide is rising.
I was just going to post this. Unbelievable, right? So what lesson did he learn, exactly?? You can't fix stupid. Stupid is forever.
Richardson knew that if he got busted with drugs in the car he was getting suspended for a year. He'll wish he didn't run for a long time but try getting any 23 year old knucklehead not to step on the gas when he's in deep shit and street-racing already and the flashing lights go on behind him.
Williams was the best available player so it was a no-brainer to draft him. It was just a shocker that Wash didn't take him before us. Sheldon is a no-brainer too. And that's pretty obvious.
