I wish more Pats tools would post in this thread, it's delicious.

Not surprisingly, the better Pats fans that post here have sensibly stayed away and are taking their lumps in private, like a good fan should.

He has all the money in the world and Giselle makes more then he does. He really can't have much more to play for on the field. 4 rings*, multiple MVPs and his name in and around the top of pretty much every QB record. The damage to his reputation is done, he will always be mentioned with the GOATs and someone will always be there to remind people he was caught cheating twice. He actually comes off as quite healthy and could walk away now without the health issues of guys like Favre and Manning. IMO he still plays two to four years, but today COULD have changed that.

I actually don't consider Roger Goodell endorsing the NFL's handling of the situation something worthy of "lumps", it was 50-50. The end result isn't. It'll be who knows how many hundred pages but at the end of the day, it's all getting reversed.

    :)

Pretty hard for him to comply for not turning in a cellphone now that it's destroyed. Reversed? Poof!

    It's the Dirty Hands Doctrine.

The judge is going to slam him on summary judgment.

Terrible day for Brady. My guess is that the civil court case is filed with an injunction to allow him to play game 1...which is what the NEP and Kraft want for the home/season opener. Shortly thereafter a "settlement" is reached and Brady takes his 4-game or negotiated 2-game suspension.

The real interesting question is why Brady would have his phone destroyed on March 6 when it became readily apparent that the NFL wanted to see.
This deflation issue is akin to George Brett's pine tar incident. Obviously something else...potentially unrelated to deflategate...was motivating Brady to have that phone destroyed.
No attorney would advise that to their client UNLESS there was incriminating evidence/information suggesting implication in a far more damaging situation for their client.

    Perfect

The stink is even greater for Brady in the 20 pages, goodell als lays out how they arrived at discipline with Vincent and no cba violations are going on with arbitration

    http://nflcommunications.com/2015/07/28/tom-brady-appeal-decision/

Not only did Tom direct the scandal, the coverup, lying all the time, he did worse after the fact.

Spoiled overpaid asshole, may he get more Karma by Canton committee

Yep, the ball boys texts were small potatoes.......the other ones are ones to BB most likely who had more to lose

Wasn't the Brady team offered the bone that they could screen the evidence they were turning over...like only information pertinent to the 'deflategate' case.

What I don't get is how his texts are destroyed by destroying his phone. Texts have to go through whatever cell service he uses.

All texts should still be on file with the cell phone company.

Can anyone back me up here? Seems like people are ignoring this.

In the end...I wonder if this is Brady falling on his own sword for BB.

Brady can't grip a professional football...BB says, well lets deflate it a little then.

We all know nothing happens in New England without BB knowledge. BB knew this was going on all along. They will not get BB to testify though, which is BS.

There should be a backup disk. What I didn't understand is that reports say Brady "requested" his cell phone be destroyed. Who would Brady have to make a 'request' like that to? Just throw the device in the pool.

I think Brady may have requested the cell phone provider to destroy all data on his phone.

Yeap so it must have been pretty damaging not to risk opening the door to having to turn over his phone. However now he can't go to civil court because the first thing the NFL lawyers will do will request that all his cell/text messages should be turned over for review via a civil subpoena. The judge will rule in the NFL's favor as the fact that Brady destroyed the cell phone will be used to justify that he cannot be trusted to turn the pertinent records over.
