Excited for camp. I know a bunch of us have our opinions on what players will work out or won't work out. Post your bold predictions of what will happen during the 2015. Bump thread after the season if you get any predictions correct for bragging rights. My Bold Predictions: 1) Mid-season, Dee Milliner will replace Antonio Cromartie at CB. 2) Brandon Marshall will not be able to stay healthy for a full season, but Devin Smith breaks out. 3) Geno smith lasts until Week 7 and replaced with Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick plays decent for 2 games but then gets injured. Geno then plays the remainder of the games. 4) Eric Decker breaks 1000+ yards receiving. 5) Leonard Williams gets 10.5 sacks on the season. 6) Dee Milliner, in his 7/8 starts, gets 4 INTs. If you wish to criticize my predictions, I have no problem. They were formed based on nothing but stabs in the dark.
Interesting. I could see #s 1, 2b, 3, 4, and 6 happening. I think Marshall will stay healthy, although I can understand why you think he may not. I'd love to see Williams get 10.5 sacks, but I don't think that will happen. That, imo, is your boldest prediction.
My bold predictions are as follows: 1. Dakota Dozier wins the RG spot in camp and helps to solidify the OL, enabling the Jets to surprise all, and not only make the playoffs, but win their division. Unfortunately, they lose in the 2nd round of the playoffs. 2. Geno is shaky at times, but survives the whole season as the starter and actually throws more TDs than interceptions. (22 to 17) 3. The Jets's receiving corps combines to catch passes totalling over 3,000 yards and 22 TDs. Leonard Williams wins DROY (not so bold a prediction). 4. The Jets quartet of RBs combines to rush for almost 2,000 yards. 5. Motivated by his desire for a big contract, the addition of Williams, and Snacks playing for a big contract next year, Mo Wilk has a breakout season and wins DPOY. 6. Buoyed by the play of Williams, Snacks and Wilkerson, and the fiery play of Sheldon Richardson after he returns from suspension, the Jets' D finishes as the #1 D in the NFL. 7. As a result of the Jets' D finishing #1 and the Jets making the playoffs in his first year as a HC, Todd Bowles wins Coach of the Year. 8. As a result of the previous seven occurrences, his draft and his off seasons FA signings, Mike Maccagnan wins Executive of the Year.
Miami and NE duel it out for the AFCE, with Miami winning by a nose. Jets and Buffalo fight it out for last place, a fight won by the Bills. Rex is fired. AFCE sends 3 teams to the PO's. Jets win the SB. Champ dies when hit in eye by champagne cork.
you forgot about the part where Rex Ryan's wife gets invited to Shady Mccoy's end of the season bash.
Wow. This would be amazing. DPOY, ROY, Coach of the year, and exec. of the year... People would never hear the end from me !! lol
Mark Sanchez in 2011: ------------------------------------------------------------TD INT 25 TDs isn't really all that much.
Also, Buster Skrine will lead the team in INT's. & Mauldin will be a week 1 starter over Pace after a brilliant pre-season performance.
I have some weird feeling we're going to lose at least one big piece to injury at some point throughout the season. Don't want to predict anybody in particular though. But to stay optimistic, my bold prediction is Devin Smith will put up OROY numbers, and Geno will actually look serviceable helping him do so.
1. Geno starts 17 games this season 16 regular - 1 playoff. 2. Marshall and Decker each go over 1,000 yards. 3. Revis will be 3rd on team in INT's. 4. Patriots will have another scandal (not really a bold prediction anymore)
Mike McGagnan gives a 19 minute rambling mid-season press conference revealing that he likes ponies, chamomile tea and badminton, dislikes buratta cheese, gladiator movies and Paula Deen and really had no clue who Leonard Williams was when he was figuring out what to do with the 6th pick. _
LOL Why not? IMO the bold predictions thread is all about having fun. Why not go hog wild and dream a little? Do I expect many (or maybe even any) of those things to happen? No, but at least some of them could.
Mark had 32 total scores in 2011 - include rushing. It was shocking to see him carry the Jets in some games.
1. Geno averages a QBR of 50 or better. 2. We sweep the dolphins for the 1st time since '07 3. We don't play all of our starters week 17 against the Bills because we are in the playoffs and have nothing to play for. 4. Sheldon, minus 4 games, still has more sacks than Mo, further complicating what the hell to do with the D line. 5.Our O-line pleasantly surprises and play above average (probably due to CG getting geno to get rid of the play quickly)
Well this is about BOLD predictions not realistic so "heeeere.....weee.....go" 1) Tom Brady's Suspension gets reduced to zero games but on the first play from scrimmage against Miami his career is ended due to his balls being permanently deflated due to a stomp from Suh. 2) Geno has an MVP season but after this season he leaves having a hall of fame career because we gave up too much money in cap to be able to keep him after the great performance. 3) In the first game of the season when Winston plays Mariotta both will break their throwing hands in a pregame handshake 4) In one of our prime time games Nick Mangold will run for an 80 yard game winning touchdown on a fumble rooski 5) Mccoy will have his party on a floor that is see through only from the bottom with Rexy downstairs looking at all them footsies 6) At some game during the season when bringing out the american flag they will play hulk hogans "i am a real american" which will cause a very akward moment 7) Eli Manning will finally learn to breath with his mouth closed 8) Jace Amaro going into the game against buffalo will make more foot jokes then Wes Welker did 9) Marshawn Lynch will become the most outspoken player to the media while Richard Sherman hides from them 10) Chip Kelly will have the Eagles team name legally changed to the Philadelphia "Oregon Ducks" 11) Willie Colon will not get called for a single penalty all season
