    Bucs’ C.J. Wilson reportedly lost two fingers in fireworks mishap (updated)

    UPDATE 2:28 P.M.

    The Lincoln Times-News, located in Wilson’s home town of Lincolnton, N.C., reports that Wilson lost two fingers in the fireworks accident on Saturday, per sources. He was at home in Lincolnton when the accident occurred.

    UPDATE 1:07 P.M.

    ESPN’s Ed Werder doubles down on the severity of Wilson’s injury.

    Banked $900K his first and only 2 seasons, after agents commission and I am guessing some splurging probably doesn't have much left. CB missing 2 fingers isn't getting signed by anyone else. Add him to the list of players who are broke within a few years after being out of the league.

    corners don't need fingers. He can't catch anyway that's why he plays Corner. And CBs for damn sure don't tackle. He'll be fine
