http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...ne-recklessly-flirts-with-dream-team-callback Make of it what you will. Is Skrine trying to jinx us?! Do we have any specialists in the art of the reverse-jinx on here?
Give the guy a break he's been on the Browns his whole career... Any team minus the raiders would be a dream team for him.
I find it hilarious that Skrine thinks any team with him getting significant playing time is a "dream" team. Just because our GM gave him a lot of money doesn't mean he suddenly became a great player.
I don't have a problem with what he said. Nothing wrong with a positive attitude. Maybe it would have been better had he said the D sucks.
Hilarious? He's citing the players around him not himself. No big deal in today's media world. I'd like to see TB nip this kinda talk tho. We've heard this kinda stuff before the last two years, and I was disappointed in the results. Every excuse there is aside. Let the play speak for itself. Show us.
I wish Revis would pull idiots like Pace, Pryor, Douzable, Skrine, Cromartie aside and give them a real good smack in the face to set them straight. Honestly, who are these guys? Shut your yap.
He's a great leader, he just doesn't need the attention, he avoids being in the spotlight and make it all about himself. Like a Ray Lewis.
Revis has never been a leader, every time his leadership is brought up they say he shows leadership by what he does on the field. Don't try to rewrite history, this guy is not a leader
First off, as it's already been pointed out and as you should have gathered from reading the article, he was referencing all of the talent around him. I don't think he ever once made himself out to be anything other than a piece of the puzzle. Second, you're insinuating that he isn't a good player and that we overpaid. While we may have given him more money than he would've gotten elsewhere, that doesn't mean he isn't a great fit here. What he's going to be asked to do lines up perfectly with what he's good at doing. I'm finding it extremely hard to care about this entire "story".
The history of "great leadership" that you completely made up. Show me one instance that he's shown leadership on any team he's been on. The only thing I've ever read about him is that his displays his leadership with his work ethic and his approach to the game, I have never read our heard one single instance of him actively taking leadership roles on the team. You said he should take all of those players aside and set them straight. Show me one example where he's ever done anything like that. Just assuming he does it and keeps it out of the press is dumb. Ray Lewis was a very vocal leader and THAT was well documented, when it comes to leadership he and Revis are on different planets
I wouldn't call him a leader either. He may lead the league in holdouts...with that said I was one that was fed up with him and actually was happy he left. Also very happy he is back after watching db's get concussions from twisting their necks too hard watching receivers go by them. Does he really try to say the Jets d is a dream team? Not really....but like DABALLHAWK said..these guys just need to shut up. After years of Rex yapping and talking crap, you would figure a 4 and 12 team would shut the f up even if they think they are driving a Porsche. This headcoach will slowly but surely rid the locker room of this crap before preseason is over. He seems to be from the school of no bulletin board material for the other teams and shut the f up and do it on the field mentality. Then the press will eventually go after him and the teams silent approach....after blowing Rex for the last 5 years.
