Good, as he should. I'm glad Bowles is being a real coach about this. This is the kind of coach we need with the NY Media, honestly. The Rex's of the world should go to small markets to boost their image, not large markets to create distractions.
Stupid title for that article since Marshawn Lynch refuses to answer questions because he hates the media and Cro didn't answer because his coach told him to cool it Cro would have answered any football question they asked, but since they are the NY media all they wanted to talk about was a Twitter battle so they could get easy website hits
Yeah, you're right, especially that bs title. That dudes just another clown trying to create hype with bs and misinformation. It's horrible
Where's the redundancy? We have 2 possession receivers (Decker, Marshall), one vertical threat (Smith) and one slot (Kerley) to make the roster. I'd welcome a second deep threat.
its that thing we used to love about football but now is just quick 1 minute teaser & waste of time in between 2 10 minute blocks of beer & cell phone commercials.
I don't know: isn't NOT talking about it a distraction? this is football, people. Not some overseas chess-by-mail club. Players are gonna talk shit. Coaches are gonna talk shit. And even if they aren't talking shit, someone is going to find a way to tell us how they are talking shit. And the players are going to go out and fuck up or stay home and fuck up. they are people in a digital world, same as the rest of us. I mean, really? Who cares what they say on Twitter. It's no worse than how we talk to each other every day. I don't really give a fuck if they are talking. Just be playing!!
They can do what they want on Twitter but when players or coaches feed the hungry media with non-football-related stories, it's very easy to create distractions off-the-field. Bowles is in the right here
The Media, Papparazzi, whatever. There's an entire industry surrounding what players say, do, live. My opinion is that they would make something out of nothing, so, really, if that is what they want to do, you can't stop them, aside from living like a hermit and/or robot. And, if you're going to do that, it kinda negates the incentive to be a football player, doesn't it?
Players should talk shit on the field against their opponents. Not on social media about the positional rankings the media puts them in. Apply it to the real world and you don't see stock brokers or lawyers tweeting at each other. I understand it's an abstract comparison but it's ridiculous especially considering the fact that Cromartie is 100% wrong about Sherman's capabilities along with the fact that he's causing a distraction with a player in Winslow who is obsolete in this league (not to mention a player who was also correct in saying Cromartie needs to just shut his mouth).
We definitely need Bowles' talk is cheap attitude. If RR were coaching this team right now he'd be the one chirping Sherman and Winslow lmao. I thought that was cool on a veteran team which he re invigorated with energy and pride but a young group will just become undisciplined and that was what happened at the end of the RR era.
Exactly. There's plenty of room for Owusu if he can earn it. Plus Smith hasn't played a single down yet, who knows what/when he will contribute.
But look at the Patriots for the past decade. The "Patriot Way" has proven to be effective at dealing with Boston's media, and every player buys into it. I don't see why Bowles couldn't do a similar thing; just keep the real leaks away from the media and allow them to report what they want... hopefully on football and not created drama.
Might just be me but someone who skips anything related to football for the birth of anything is not a real man. All this Lamaz shit and dads in the delivery room had gone WAY too far and gotten totally out of control. That's why there's a sport bar across from every hospital. Use it. She'll be fine.
