And in reality thats all we need. d'Arnaud coming back will help but Sandy has to do something. Go get Ramirez from the Brewers and stick a real major leaguer at third. If I have to keep watching Eric Campbell everyday Im gonna go crazy.

As far as Cuddyer I dont think anyone shouldve expected the type of guy he was 2 years ago. Colorado jumps everyone up 30 points in average.

I was thinking the same thing about Aramis Ramirez but he's hitting .213. Which means he'd fit in well on this team. But he's a .284 lifetime hitter with power. Not sure the Brewers would want Niese. But in reality Niese has value. First he's a better than ok starter, at times very good. And you're not going to get a better left handed starter with experience on the open market. Cuddyer for 22 mil (for 2 seasons) was a decent signing. Of course the guy on the Brewers I'd love to get is Ryan Braun. That is if Milwaukee wants to get rid of him. His contract isn't overly prohibitive it averages about 20 mil per season thru 2020. He's 31 right now. If the Brewers would eat some of that money. He'd be worth it. If the Mets could get him for Grandy money (15 per) I think they should do it. But there are no rumors on Braun or any deal with the Brewers.

Brewers have a lot of guys that would fill needs here here. Segura, K-Rod to name others. And they seem to need pitching. Id give up Montero and Niese if they gave us Ramirez and Segura.

Braun would be an interesting name if he ended up on the trade market. Ive never been that big of a fan of his, especially after his PED scandal, but with so many teams needing a bat they could get back an insane amount even with the salary he earns. So getting him would for sure cost us either Syndergaard or Matz plus probably another pro player and pro ready minor league. Not sure thats worth it.

Not sure how badly the Brewers want to divest themselves of the Braun contract since he is 31 already and it has another five years on it. So I think Montero might do it maybe throw in the kid catcher who has some value if Milw. eats some of the money. But I can't see them biting into a contract like that for a guy who is probably on the way down. But he's worth 15 mil a year because he's better than Grandy.

The Brewers 5 starting pitchers are righties. Plus they are ranked 28th in MLB with a 4.30 era. So they could use a lefty starter and Niese is a decent veteran starter. Sounds like a good trade partner. You know Sandy isn't going to trade for Braunie but Amaris Ramirez would be fine by me. Ok Ramirez is 36. But he has 376 lifetime Hrs. And last year he hit .285, 15-66, .330 OBP. He is making 14 mil in 2015 and is a FA in 2016. So maybe they'd take Gee.

He's bummed over the bums he has behind him in the field. He knows he can only give up 2 runs or less to have a chance to win. No pressure....

With this team you don't root for runs you root for hits.

Fckn pathetic is what it is. Alderson fiddles while the Mets 2015 season slowly burns. Why won't he make a deal for offense? Its not like he doesn't have chips to play the game with. Makes you wonder if the Wilpons are behind this inaction due to payroll considerations. WTF are they gonna do when all these kids are at the end of their rookie deals...

True. This team is adept at making excuses for poor play. The GM is a master at it and the Mgr. is pretty good at it too.

He knows that if he gives up more than 2 runs, the game is over. Waay too much pressure on the young pitchers.

I don't blame Terry. But at this point when you're pretty sure Sandy isn't going to go outside of the organization maybe Wally can get more out of these guys. btw in today's Newsday http://www.newsday.com/sports/baseb...ers-third-baseman-sources-say-1.10529925there is a bonafide rumor that the Mets are interested in Amaris Ramirez and are in initial trade talks. Of course initial with Sandy this could mean it'll take a year not to make the deal. PS Ramirez is still owed 8.8 million for 2015.

The guy is coming off of Tommy John. But he was serving up BP yesterday. When they really needed a good start.

Pretty interesting in the post game comments from last night. Both TC and Harvey were asked if they think Harvey's recent struggles were due to some rust from the TJ surgery. Collins pretty much said yes. Harvey flat out said no.

Maybe Im making too big of a deal out of it but I hate the injury excuse. Harvey is fine. He just isnt making good decisions. Especially with 2 strikes. He left a pitch up on Posey's double to tie it and threw a bad pitch to Belt as well on the homer. Simple as that. Any average fan can see when a pitcher is struggling due to "dead arm" or decreased velocity but Harvey is still hitting 98. He's just missing his spots. You can get away with that against team like the Phillies and Marlins. Teams like the Giants are not going to let you get away with that.

You make a great point. I didn't know he was still hitting 98. But he was out a year. They were using the term "dead arm" a few weeks ago in reference to him. Without him being elite which means being Tom Seaverish and a slump buster this team isn't going anywhere.

I keep checking every hour on ESPN to see if: Terry got fired or if the Mets made a deal. And I'm not talking about Sandy's Las Vegas Express. I mean big league players.
