If you truly believe Geno is such a good running option, consider this. The entire team must know where he is. Maybe not exactly where he is at any particular moment, but in general awareness of where he is going to be is more than necessary for the entire team. And I really don't think Geno has progressed to the point where 1. he stays at where his teammates expects him to be 2. he can make the decision to run for the daylight, or stay in the pocket. Geno running out of the pocket with reckless abandon is more detrimental to the team; receivers will not know whether he should keep going with the predetermined route designation, or make adjustment for broken play. In other words, him running around at every pocket pressure results in severely decreased production from the WR corps.
Everything about this organization has changed from top to bottom. No longer are we a rudderless ship drifting in the sea of the NFL. We now actually have MEN in charge of this organization and not some glorified accountant running the show . We've got a HC that knows that in order to be a successful HC you need to be involved in the TEAM not just one facet of it. I'm sure Bowles knows his limitations and I'm hoping he will learn a lot from Gailey as not only the elder statesman and OC , but as a former HC. I just get the feeling that we are headed in the right direction in both FO & CS. I'm not sure how long it'll take to achieve being in competition for a SB but I feel more confident then ever that we're on the right path . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What a jackass. Keep complaining about Ryan for the rest of your life, if it makes you feel good. What about Lou Holtz and Charley Winner and the rest of the real lousy coaches the Jets have had? And you have absolutely no idea of my intelligence level, just bringing it up proves yours is inferior, Mr. Mensa. Keep me on ignore, if it keeps your little feelings from being hurt by being called out for your infantile comments. I'm okay to read all the comments here...without whining.
Nobody is acting like that I see no reason to be the type that bitches and complains all the way thru tho. If things seem positive there's nothing wrong w responding accordingly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Your original point is still off base, just saying. He was providing info on bowles and by default of course there will be rex comparisons. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cautiously optimistic at this point with Bowles, seems like a sharp dude. I think Mac has righted the ship from a personnel standpoint. Hard to question any of the moves he's made so far. Not gonna take a shot at Rex's personality at this point, he was a breath of fresh air over Mangini and his Nixon-like paranoia/personality.
I kind of hope Bowles is in-between (which it looks like he may be). Not so carefree and fun like Rex, but not having the Nixon-like personality of Mangini either.
My first ever jets game was when they beat the packers to win the AFC East, little did I know back then that I had just witnessed an aberration, an false impression of what was to come. winning the east again… what a dream.
