The guy's name is Jeffrey Kessler. He's beaten the NFL in other suspension cases. You can also check it out on Boston.com or just google it.

yea kessler was yesterday. you said dream team so I figured there were more. I was also interested in the experts you mentioned. I don't know how the lawyer helps with an appeal here since it's not a legal issue but I dont know anything about the process.

Yes Kessler represented Brady in 2011 in the players class action during the lockout stuff......and yes against Kraft.

Now isn't it weird he's on Krafts side now

The thing concerning about it is: 1. Brady was fortunate to get only 4 games
    2. They say no evidence but there was plenty. Circumstantial but very solid. What other kind of evidence do they want anyways other than sworn witnesses or a video. 3. Legal experts think this guy could make mincemeat out of Roger and NFL lawyers. 4. If he beats this through legal maneuvers he'll be even more hated by everyone outside of Boston. 5. Boston sucks.

It was apparently originally broken by Schefter. They mentioned Yee, who is also a lawyer and others but not by name. They just say it's a formidable team and hard to beat. So far it seems their strategy is to go for the jugular. If Roger loses this one again he's just totally ineffective.

That would be good. But after getting his ass kicked in Bountygate and having to defer to Tagliabue I doubt it.

I could careless what happens with the appeal really.

All things considered, sure I hope no changes are made and Brady misses 4 games but the damage is already done regarding the perception of NE & Brady's legacy. Perhaps most importantly though, going forward it going to help put a big eye on the organization, it's going to be tough for them to do any kind of cheating now with everyone watching them like a hawk... And they certainly won't be deflating footballs anymore either.

If the appeal is successful for them, id rather see Brady's suspension reduced and not changing the draft pick punishment than vice versa. Of course I hope they lose the appeal though

Exactly, he has already been found to be a cheater. Getting the punishment lessened, if they are able, does nothing to wash the stink off Br*dy, that smell will never go away.

Are the P*ts appealing also, if it is only Br*dy then the draft picks and fine stay as they are. I still think Br*dy's refusal to cooperate fully makes his chance of winning a reduction much harder.

I realize that there have been several threads already on Tom Shady, but I had to write one more after watching Joe Theismann tonight. Theismann went on and on about Tom Brady's alleged innocence, and justified it by referencing Brady's denial at his silly stocking cap press conference. Theismann, who obviously lives on another planet, claimed that Brady somehow clearly and unambiguously proclaimed his innocence during that press conference. My recollection of that press conference is when directly asked if he cheated Shady slowly said "I...don't believe...so." Yeah, Joe, that really put my mind at ease. Most innocent people when directly asked if they cheated would very quickly respond "NO!" And if Shady was truly innocent, as Theisman has himself (and no one else) convinced, why didn't Tom Terrific cough up his phone records or cooperate more fully? It cannot be denied that the two Patriot minions deflated the footballs--does anyone looking objectively at this really believe these two mopes concocted this scheme with no direction, urging, or potential reward from Brady? Keep talking Joe--If you say it enough, eventually you'll convince yourself that Brady is factually innocent (and the sun rises in the west).

I could give a fuck less about him appealing, damage was already done. If they want to lift the suspension by all means do it.

There are 3 possibilities with this appeal:
    1) He loses and it basically cements he's a cheater
    2) He gets some reduction in his sentence which still indicates he's a cheater but their punishment may have been too harsh
    3) He gets off entirely but there is enough of a black mark that people will remember him as a cheater

I don't think the punishment can get worse but if it can that's a fourth option.

So, any way you slice it, as people have said: damage is done. Appealing it just makes it more visible and could actually cement the idea that he cheated.

Those 2 attendants were almost assuredly well compensated by the Patriots, if not they will make a mint on the talk show circuit. I wouldn't feel too sorry for them.
