I get why the cowboys would sign him but cannot for my life understand why he'd sign there

Everybody needs a first round pick for chump change..too bad we didn't think we did. So before all you whiners start saying we need OL help understand that the Jets FO don't think we do.

The Cowboys got Collins (for nothing), Randy Gregory late in round two, and a freakish athletic CB at the bottom of round one.

    Wow!

It's nice when your GM owns the team and answers to nobody.

jerry jones will go to bat for his players, even when they have legal issues. the team probably has a solid support system for that sort of thing.

You could not possibly be any more wrong about that.

Our front office is fully aware of just how much money Brick is due to make next year.

The OL will be one of the top priorities next year.

The Cowboys were willing to sign him before full exoneration, they will take as many risks as possible, it's no coincidence they traded up to get Gregory. Good signing for them unless it blows up in their face

The Cowboys are the new Raiders. Jerry Jones is so desperate to win another Super Bowl before his next facelift; that he'll sign anyone, regardless of their baggage. You would think that after the Josh Brent-Jerry Brown tragedy, and their ongoing issues with Dez Bryant, Greg Hardy et al, that they'd be a little more cautious.

Romo and Whitten are not getting any younger.

I don't blame Jerry Jones for swinging for the fences now before the nucleus of that team is to old/young/overpaid/etc.

I've been saying for years that we could improve in the offensive line department, which I think now is average at best. All we have done to address it were JAG free agents and low draft picks. Maccagnan has done a ton for this team in just one year so I am not too concerned yet, but when D'Brick or Mangold are gone, we will need to fill the void. Hopefully, Aboushi continues to develop as a guard and we can count on him to help the line for a long time.

Problem is great left tackles rarely come up in free agency and if BPA doesn't overlap with a left tackle, it may not get adressed.

Seriously, I thought they already had the greatest offensive line ever since the Raiders with Upshall and Shell (half sarcastic)...but oh well I'm just glad it ain't a division team.

Except Jerry's still trying to make up for the ONE guy with character issues he didn't take (Moss).

He's doing a decent job of forgetting about Moss with Dez Bryant, that guy is a beast

Also, he's basically the girl everyone wants to bang. Every team was trying to get him and he had his choice of 32 teams. Maybe he didn't pick us because we aren't contenders yet, one of his criteria for teams he wants to play for.

I hope we at least contacted his agent. Man, Jerry always seems to have the hook up.
