Actually the real reason is that it got hijacked by bible boy for like 10 pages and then by a guy that thinks he's the wolf of wall street for another 15 more
Start Fitz, Geno is number 2, Petty number 3 gets a "Harvard" education for a year. I truly believe this is the best course of action. I have nothing against Simms but i think the time he and the Jets parted ways.
I think a little lesser version of Carr but not a bad comparison. About the same height, Petty is bulkier, both throw a pretty ball and have very quick releases but Carr has a slightly stronger arm, is more athletic and Carr was ready to step in immediately and start. I think Carr was much further up the learning curve on reading coverages and adjusting to them. Petty is going to take a while. But I'll take that comparison any day. _
For whatever reason, Simms has failed to sway opinion. I'd feel more comfortable with Fitz starting than Geno. Unless he (Smith) comes out guns ablazin' ... he's gotta be on a short lead. I'd hate to see us in the same qb void a year from now.
LOL Of course we would!! We'd think about all times we had played and NOT won. The glass is half empty, you know?
No way. Have to start Geno. You can go away from him during the season, but there are tons of reasons to start Geno not the least of which his ceiling is dramatically higher. Fitz starting is a regressive stupid move. Geno will have to be clueless in TC to not start.
Geno has the highest ceiling and I guess the FO is hoping (as should we) that he can start. Ideally with better targets he can post decent numbers and with the Defense we have games should be close without horrible blowouts like we saw over the past 2 seasons. However if he is poor in TC then I have no doubt that the new regime will go with Fitz - I think Mac has shown us in the draft that he sticks to certain principles. Now before I get accused of drinking coolade I realise Mac and these changes we have witnessed mean nothing until we see regular Ws in September through January. It is something he also acknowledges as he keeps reminding people for all the changes we are still winless. But I wouldstill look at the roster we have today and ask any fan here to tell me one area which is not better than this time 12 months ago. Petty can learn from Fitz slowly and we can ascertain if he can match his natural talent with the mental aspects needed to play QB at a high level in the NFL.
That's a gross misrepresentation of Geno. He can tell time just fine. He doesn't understand time zones. Big difference.
Since I have said poster on ignore I wouldn't see it...but you guys can continue arguing with broken records if you want.
I don't believe Geno messed up his time zones that day, I think he was just late and used it as an excuse because he knew he would get away with it
